Disney World rides run all day, every day, for 12 hours straight, so it takes a lot of work to keep things in tip-top shape, which means some rides will have to close for maintenance. It’s never fun to get to a Disney park and realize your favorite ride closed, which is why we always keep an eye on the refurbishment calendar to prep for closures on our and your upcoming trips!

This Popular EPCOT Restaurant Is Closing for Refurbishment in 2027

Uh oh…a popular Disney World restaurant is getting hit with a closure very soon! While we always hate to see restaurant closures pop up around the parks and resorts, they’re usually necessary — and sometimes it even means a new look or new menu is on the way.

NEWS: Rise of the Resistance Added to Extended Evening Hours at Hollywood Studios

Staying at one of the Disney World Deluxe resorts gives you a plethora of perks: Close proximity to one (or even two) of the theme parks, Early Entry into the park, and just a walk away from some of Disney’s signature dining locations! But maybe one of the biggest perks of staying at a Deluxe resort is access to Extended Evening Hours.

On select nights at select parks, guests staying at a valid resort can enjoy TWO extra hours in the park without the general public crowds. That means lower wait times for some of the biggest attractions! However, not every attraction may be available, and we saw this in Hollywood Studios, but one of the park’s most popular rides was just added to the list of available rides!

Our tale today takes us to EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion, which is home to a seriously underrated ride: Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. Now, we love this ride. It’s air-conditioned, it’s a great place to cool off, and it has some of the best background music in World Showcase. But even we, with all our Disney obsession, have never once looked at that river and thought, “You know what this needs? Me.” Once again, this is why we can’t have nice things at Disney World.

Disney Fans Have THOUGHTS on the “Grossly Fun” Food Coming to Monstropolis at Hollywood Studios

Don’t be scared — we promise these monsters are friendly! Disney’s Hollywood Studios will soon be home to the lovable monsters from Monsters. Inc.! Humans can visit Monstropolis soon, as the land will open in phases starting in 2027.

Disney previously shared that this new land will be home to multiple eateries, including the iconic Harryhausen’s from the original movie, along with Archie’s Scare Pig Pizza, but we didn’t have many more details — until now. Disney recently shared a first look at the food coming to these eateries, and let’s just say, the internet had a LOT to say about it!
