Okay, who’s excited for the holidays in Disney World?

Okay, it’s us! We have already been eyeing a LOT of holiday merchandise (okay, confession: we’ve bought some, too). Seeing the decorations in the parks has us SO stoked for the season. Well, we have ANOTHER reason to be excited now: the FULL menus for the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays have arrived — YAY, FOOD!
After Hours events are coming back to Disney World in 2024!

Starting at the beginning of the new year, you’ll be able to experience Hollywood Studios, EPCOT, and Magic Kingdom after closing time. This means shorter wait times, extra shows, and complimentary treats. And starting November 7th, 2023, select guests can purchase tickets to these exclusive events — but we’ve got a warning.
You may know that Disney World has a number of lounges, but did you know they have some that are hiding in plain sight?

EPCOT is going through a massive transformation, and Magic Kingdom is getting some love too. But, we spotted some recently filed permits that could mean changes are coming to some iconic Disney World hotels — let’s get into it!
Within the four Disney World theme parks, each park has its own identity. Adventurers and explorers can visit Disney’s Animal Kingdom, while dreamers and princess-lovers may prefer a trip to the Magic Kingdom. If you love that old Hollywood era, we highly recommend a trip down Hollywood Boulevard at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. And then there’s EPCOT — the Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. But what do these parks look like during the holiday season at Disney World?

Well, so far, we’ve seen holiday decorations appear at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Magic Kingdom, and even Disney’s Hollywood Studios! But as the 2023 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival continues, we’re still waiting for some festive flair to end up at EPCOT.
Are you heading to Disney World soon? If so, you need to be aware of six closures at the parks and hotels that could put a dent in your plans.

Some rides, attractions, and restaurants will be unavailable next week, from November 5th through the 11th. Let’s take a look at all of the temporary closures!
You might be thinking, “Bad news?! How is that possible? It’s a NEW EPCOT attraction!” To be fair, we had a BLAST at Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana. This new addition to the grand EPCOT transformation is fully welcomed by us here at the Disney Food Blog. In fact, we recommend you go and check it out on your next trip to EPCOT!
It’s a beautiful attraction!
But, hey, nobody’s perfect! Every Disney attraction, no matter how much we love it, has a few flaws. Now that we’ve experienced Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana several times in Disney World, we feel confident enough to come forward with our only small complaint about the attraction. If you’re planning to check it out this winter, you might want to be prepared for one thing.
There is NOTHING more magical than Disney World during the holidays.

From the beautiful holiday decorations to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights to all the holiday snacks, Disney World goes ALL out for the festive season. Speaking of snacks, we’re headed to EPCOT‘s Germany Pavilion to try out some new holiday-flavored caramels. Yep, we’re going back to Karamell-Küche (like we need an excuse to go there).

The changes that took years to complete are almost done, with Disney finishing up touches on World Celebration after the recent opening of Journey of Water — Inspired by Moana. In just a few weeks, the construction walls will come down in the park. But to add to those updates…we’re getting a new fireworks show!
