How are we almost at the end of February? This year is FLYING, but that’s because maybe so much is going on in Disney World.

Just this week alone, we discovered a secret menu at a Disney World hotel restaurant, learned about a new interactive experience coming to Disney Springs, learned that virtual queues for two rides will be going away soon, and more. But Disney World restaurants have also been busy…changing their menus. So we’re going to get you updated on those changes.
OK, we’ll say it: we are control freaks. We carefully plan our trips to Disney World, scour menus ahead of time, and look inside each and every hotel before we book a reservation. But there are some things we just can’t control. GAH!

We hate to admit it, but we can’t control the crowds, the lines, or the prices during the busy season at Disney World. It’s inevitable! But here’s the thing. Even though a lot of people already know that Disney World tends to be C R O W D E D in March, there’s one mistake we still see people making on vacation. Don’t make this mistake!
Staying at Disney World hotels provides numerous perks that can help make your vacation better! For example, you can take advantage of a complimentary day at a Disney World water park on your check-in day, enjoy extra time in the park with Early Entry, and get free parking at the theme parks.

Another big perk is taking advantage of complimentary Disney World transportation. This transportation can pretty much get you anywhere you want to go on Disney World property and includes a network of boats, buses, monorails, and the Skyliner. However, one Disney World hotel’s transportation options have decreased.

Disney is getting rid of its virtual queues for the two most popular rides in ALL of Disney World, Universal has launched the next phase of tickets for Epic Universe, a HUGE new addition is coming to Disney Springs, AND Universal dropped even more about their OTHER new theme park coming to Frisco, Texas.
While Pirates of the Caribbean may be synonymous with Magic Kingdom now, it wasn’t always that way. In fact, Pirates of the Caribbean wasn’t originally supposed to come to Disney World at all.

But, if you ask me — that would have been a huge mistake. I may be slightly biased considering that this swashbuckling adventure is quite possibly my favorite ride in Magic Kingdom (though it’s often a toss-up between Pirates and Haunted Mansion 👻), but can you even imagine what Adventureland would look like today if Pirates of the Caribbean wasn’t there? I shudder at the thought.
Disney World has a lot of projects in the works right now. We’ve already seen permits filed for construction on the Cars expansion for Magic Kingdom, as well as the new Villains Land.

We’ve also seen permits related to the new Villains show coming to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, as well as permits to help transform DinoLand, U.S.A. in Disney’s Animal Kingdom into Pueblo Esperanza. Now, we’ve spotted two NEW permits, including one for EPCOT, presumably for the new Spaceship Earth Lounge, as well as for Ye Olde Christmas Tree Shoppe in Magic Kingdom’s Liberty Square. Both permits are for signage.
Well, Disney fans, we can finally hit snooze on that 6:55 AM alarm!
Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disney World’s Magic Kingdom
For years, 7 AM has been the make-or-break moment for all of us Disney World guests hoping to secure a spot in the Virtual Queue for rides like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, TRON Lightcycle / Run, or Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. If you weren’t up and ready to go, your shot at riding some of Disney’s biggest attractions without a long standby wait could be gone in seconds. But very soon that early morning stress will be officially over. Starting February 25, 2025, Disney World is officially doing away with Virtual Queues (for the time being), meaning you can roll out of bed whenever you want and still have a chance to ride. Let’s break down what this change means for your next Disney World trip.
Things are about to become quite interesting around Disney World — and not just because of all of the construction that’ll make the parks look totally different.

But, Disney just announced that the Virtual Queues for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind at EPCOT will be going away for good on February 25th, and that’s going to be a game-changer for plenty of reasons — especially since that means there will be no more VQs in Disney World. But, we don’t recommend getting used to that just yet…
