There has been a TON of news coming out of Disney World today!
After a lengthy closure beginning back on March 16th, Disney World announced that they hope to reopen Magic Kingdom and Disney’s Animal Kingdom on July 11th, followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios on July 15th. Whenever the parks are cleared to reopen, guests can expect to experience several changes including new health and safety guidelines, required reservations for park entrance, and contactless menus in restaurants.
There have been a ton of announcements about the Disney World theme parks today, but there’s news coming out of Disney Springs as well!

The reopening of popular Disney-owned locations wasn’t the only exciting news coming out of Disney Springs today!
Since Disney Springs locations began reopening on May 20th, we’ve been stopping by the restaurants to see what’s new. And today, we found out about a limited-time deal being offered to Disney Cast Members!
Earlier today, Disney World presented its reopening plan to Florida’s Orange County Economic Recovery Task Force.
The proposed plan has been initially approved by Mayor Jerry Demings and has been sent to Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. If given the go-ahead, select Disney World theme parks will begin to reopen to the public starting on July 11th, with the remaining parks set to open on July 15th.
We wanted to know what safety measures our readers want to see Disney World implement when the parks reopen!
While all of the Disney World parks remain closed until further notice, the resort has taken its first step towards reopening with Disney Springs starting a phased reopening on May 20th. This comes on the heels of the reopening of Shanghai Disneyland on May 11th, which made it the first Disney park to resume operations worldwide.
Both of these reopenings have included safety measures such as required face coverings for guests and Cast Members, social distancing protocols, and increased sanitization. So, now that things are beginning to reopen, we wanted to check in with our readers to see what health and safety measures they would like to see implemented in the parks at Disney World. Here are the results!
We stopped by Disney Springs to check out the newly reopened locations and, of course, enjoy some eats!
