Between all the specialty cocktails, cookies, and cupcakes galore, we’re adding two more to the mix.
Greetings ghosts and ghouls, and Happy Halloween!!
We headed over to Disney’s BoardWalk to see what kind of changes we could spot and to catch up on all the fun Halloween activities that the resort would be offering today. Check out what we found in this edition of What’s New at Disney’s BoardWalk!
We took a trip to one of our favorite spots around Disney World to see what is new over at Disney’s BoardWalk. Come along with us!

Disney is always making headlines for their big changes.
Park updates like MyMagic+, Disneyland’s Cars Land, Disney World’s New Fantasyland get tons of exposure, as they should.
But I think it’s always interesting to look at the not-so-publicized changes that happen without fanfare, too.
A case in point is a little kiosk called BoardWalk Joe’s, located across from Cat Cora’s Kouzzina on the Disney World BoardWalk.
Over the last few years, Disney World has really changed its tune at this spot, transforming it from a coffee stop to a margarita place! Let’s take a look… .
It’s easy to feel nostalgic while strolling the boardwalk where BoardWalk Joe’s once specialized in coffee — we even wrote a whole post that highlighted it!
But a couple of years ago, Joe’s added some specialty seasonal items, like this Caramel Apple Margarita! This was the first sign of BoardWalk Joe’s transformation…
And the Frozen Grapefruit Margarita made a seasonal appearance last summer.
Over a couple of years, we kept seeing more and more “specialty” items via this [Read more…]

We’ve mentioned this news previously on our Disney Food News Pin Board, but we’ve just gotten a bit more detail!
If Boardwalk Bakery at Disney’s Boardwalk Inn is one of your favorite stops for breakfast, lunch, or sweet treats, you’ll want to plan accordingly for the spot’s upcoming renovation. The Bakery will be closed beginning Sunday, January 6, through Friday, April 26, for renovations.
What’s being added? Lots!!
Fans of the old-fashioned bakery can expect a new entrance, queue area, and refillable mug station when the space reopens in the spring. More menu items will also be added, like soups and even more sandwiches.
But don’t panic! Due to the spot’s overwhelming popularity, there will be a temporary location set up during the closure. You’ll find the tent located [Read more…]

Thanks to reader (and fellow margarita fan) Tricia, we have a new margarita to add to our Disney Margarita Gallery! This concoction was recently found at Boardwalk Joe’s.
Take it away, Tricia!
We saw the sign for the Margaritas and had to stop! Boardwalk Joe’s is always a good stop for a pre-Mexico margarita when we walk from Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Epcot.
We enjoy going for one of the seasonal drinks (i.e. Caramel Apple Margarita) so we were looking forward to trying the Grapefruit Margarita.
I am not someone who loves very sweet drinks, so Grapefruit was right up my alley! It tasted just like you were drinking frozen Ruby red grapefruit juice; it was tart with just a little sweetness.
Wonderful for a hot July day at Disney.
And if this margarita is not your thing, they were also offering [Read more…]

Over on the Boardwalk in Walt Disney World, there’s a new sweet-n-sour drink to enjoy!
The Caramel Apple Margarita caught my eye at Boardwalk Joe’s, and though I don’t like sweet drinks, the promise of Sour Apple Pucker and Sweet and Sour made me think it might not be too bad…
…and it wasn’t! I really enjoyed the sour apple flavor of the margarita, and the caramel apple syrup provided just enough sweetness to cut that flavor a bit. I wouldn’t recommend sucking down a bunch of that caramel syrup, though — that would end up being super sweet! Be sure to mix first!
All in all, I thought this was [Read more…]

When you think “dining at the Boardwalk,” what comes to mind? Probably restaurants like Flying Fish, Kouzzina, the ESPN Club, and other table-service spots. But what if you’re in a hurry?
There are plenty of dining options on the Boardwalk for those who need to “eat and run!”:
Boardwalk Joe’s
For coffee drinks or pastries, Boardwalk Joe’s is the place to go.
Boardwalk Joe's
This is perfect for grabbing some breakfast before rope drop at Epcot’s International Gateway or getting your latte before a walk over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

If you’re headed over a bit later, try a premium beer or a cocktail. You can even get some Bailey’s and Coffee — perfect for those chilly days!

Boardwalk Pizza Window
This is the “take-out” Boardwalk dining that most folks think of first. This used to be the Spoodles pizza window, and still remains in the same spot even though Kouzzina has now taken over the restaurant attached.

Boardwalk Bakery
The Boardwalk Bakery has a wonderful range of fresh-baked goodies available for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Hang around for a while and you might catch the bakers decorating a wedding cake or putting the finishing touches on a batch of brownies or cookies.

Boardwalk To Go Kiosk
This hot spot is rather new on the Boardwalk, but it’s another place to get a chili cheese dog, so it’s definitely on my radar! They also have my favorite snack — cheese fries. Heaven.

So where there used to be a dirth of quick-service food options on the Boardwalk, there are now a wealth of spots to grab a bite. And, don’t forget — if all you want is a bunch of candy or ice cream, Seashore Sweets is available to you as well!
