Last September Disney announced that IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth, the beloved nighttime spectacular on Epcot’s World Showcase, will end in the second half of 2019. (Click here for more on that announcement!) And now we know when crowds will be “moving forward now as one” — AND when IllumiNations’ replacement will begin!
At the start of Inside Disney Parks’ live stream of IllumiNations: Reflections of Earth tonight, it was announced that the final showing of IllumiNations will be on September 30, 2019! [Read more…]
It’s time to take our tour of Walt Disney World Easter egg displays to the Yacht Club Resort! This display is smaller than the one at the Yacht’s Club’s counterpart, Beach Club, and it’s substantially smaller than the fabulous Grand Floridian display. But with a few delicately decorated eggs, it’s still a lovely display, indeed.
Topping it all off is this serene Dumbo egg surrounded by circus peanuts! [Read more…]
Walt Disney World’s Grand Floridian is the resort best known for its awe-inspiring chocolate Easter egg display (see this year’s display here!), but Disney’s Beach Club Resort has its own display that is straight-up gorgeous.

From every angle the display impresses. And the characters reflect a slew of popular Disney icons from movies to television to parks! [Read more…]
, the exotic meat stand coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, now has a page on Disneyland’s and Disney World’s official websites, and with it we’ve got NEW DETAILS about the counter service spot!
Disney describes the “intoxicating scent of grilled meat” that will fill the air, making Ronto Roasters “a favorite stop for crews prepping for their next mission.” [Read more…]
is popping up at Disney Parks on both coasts, and that means new snacks! We gave you a little preview here, but now, we’ve got a look at the real deal Briar Rose Gold Tart!

The first quarter of 2019 is complete, and it’s time to get down to business. Of course, we mean cupcakes and the business of our 2019 Cupcake Crawl! But let’s address the buttercream in the room: with only three months under our (cupcake-filled) belts, we’re going to need to come back in a few months with a some new additions — so be on the lookout for the summer’s updated crawl! 😉
Come along as we list cupcakes you’ve got to try (so far!!) in 2019!
Our first entry in the Cupcake Crawl is a little loaded, and that’s because it’s an old favorite with a slightly new look (and taste!). The Peanut Butter Crunch Cupcake (a/k/a the Butterfinger Cupcake) has been a DFB favorite for years. The chocolate cake filled with dense chocolate ganache and topped with peanut butter frosting and crushed Butterfinger really worked for our PB&C obsession. But in January of this year… the Peanut Butter Crunch Cupcake disappeared from Trolley Car Cafe! (Read more about that here!) And when it returned recently, the cupcake had a whole new look.
Gone is the massive mountain of frosting covered in plentiful Butterfinger bits, replaced by a moderately sized pile of frosting covered in Butterfinger bits. Gone (maybe?) is the dense chocolate filling — now it’s more of a chocolate sauce filling. [Read more…]
Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World will officially open on August 29, 2019 (click here for all the details!!)
, way ahead of the “late fall” estimation Disney released last year. And the shortened timeline has really thrown a wrench into the plans of guests who had hoped to avoid the galactic crush of people exploding into Disney’s Hollywood Studios — particularly those with September reservations.
September has historically been a relatively quiet time of year to visit the World, and with Disney’s original prediction of a “late fall” opening for Galaxy’s Edge (plus free Disney Dining Plan offered through September 30!), loads of visitors planned to enjoy the last few quiet weeks of fall without tens of thousands of their ‘closest’ friends. This week we hopped on the monorail for a tour of all the resorts around Seven Seas Lagoon! We stopped by the Grand Floridian to check out their yearly Easter Egg display, checked out the latest cupcake to arrive at Contempo Cafe in the Contemporary Resort, and sipped on the new spiked Dole Whip drink at the Polynesian!
First, let’s head to the Grand Floridian for some special springtime treats!
The Grand Floridian Chocolate Easter Eggs are now on display at the resort through April 28th! This annual holiday display was joined by something egg-stra special this year — Springtime Snacks! There’s one snack in particular that really caught our eye…the Grand Egg!
Now, this thing is HUGE, but that’s not the only reason we love it…
