Today, California Governor Gavin Newsom shared updates regarding the state’s guidelines in response to the global health crisis.

This week, the International Flower & Garden Festival started in EPCOT, tickets went on sale for a super special Disneyland event, and MORE. Check out the 5 BIG Disney stories from this week that you need to know about.
The theme parks at Disneyland Resort have been closed since last March, and are expected to remain closed throughout this March.
But, many stores and restaurants in Downtown Disney at Disneyland Resort have reopened, and a special ticketed event will soon be coming to Disney California Adventure Park. Still, because the county where Disneyland is located is within a specific reopening tier, stores and restaurants have certain capacity and other restrictions. And those restrictions can’t be lessened until the county reaches a lower tier. Soon counties may be able to move into a lower tier easier. This would allow those counties to loosen select restrictions.

Well, this has been QUITE the morning for Disneyland fans. After the virtual queue began for A Touch of Disney tickets, everyone was greeted with a wait time of over one hour! This resulted in the queue being paused a couple of times.
Right now, there are folks that are still waiting in the virtual queue — we’re seeing average wait times of about thirty minutes as of this writing. Once we got through the queue, here’s what our full experience was like purchasing tickets for the event!

It’s been a whirlwind of a day if you’re trying to get tickets for Disney California Adventure’s A Touch of Disney!
The virtual queue opened a little while ago, and we did a happy dance because tickets were finally on sale! As we sat dreaming about all the Disneyland Resort snacks we could eat, we realized our wait time was over an HOUR. But now, we have ANOTHER update.
