food IS a theme park
Hi, DFB friends, were you wondering what’s new at EPCOT? Wonder no more!
We’re here with news from EPCOT and what has changed in the park, so let’s jump in!
Is it just us or was September the longest month ever?
Maybe it’s because we just couldn’t wait for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration to kick-off so that we could eat all the new foods in the parks. We also had a TON of restaurant menu changes, reopenings, and more!
As you can imagine, Disney World is abuzz with activity now that the 50th Anniversary Celebration is here!
And while we’re busy trying out ALL the new foods that the parks just released, we’re also keeping an eye on restaurant menus at the resort to let you know when there are any changes and updates.
We’ve already been to most of the 2021 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival booths, but a few of them didn’t open until today.
Although several of the booths were going to open on October 1st, a whole bunch of them opened early! But there were still a couple that we had to wait for, including an old favorite: the Belgium booth!
Every day we’re getting closer and closer to Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebration!
We’re ready to check out the new fireworks shows, the over-the-top decorations, and all the new offerings all around the resort. But here at DFB, one of the things we’re most excited about is FOOD. So what’s the food going to be like for the 50th? Let’s break it down!

Are you planning a trip to Hawaii?
If so, you might have plans to visit Aulani, A Disney Resort & Spa, where you can meet some cool characters and attend a fun luau. But if you’re not actually planning to stay there, you might want to get updated on the latest policy change that could affect your visit.
Gideon’s Bakehouse, in Disney Springs, is known for its amazing cookies, cakes, and cold brews, as well as the sometimes VERY long line of cookie fans waiting to grab some of the sweet treats inside this spot.
Gideon’s is also known for its intricate theming and unique characters. This month we saw the new Lemon Poppyseed Cookie and Bonnie Brae character arrive. But, if you really want to prove you’re a MASSIVE Gideon’s fan and you want to bring home more than just cookies, there are some NEW souvenirs you’ll want to pick up! [Read more…]
It’s another beautiful day to spend at Magic Kingdom.
We’re here with another installment of everything new in Magic Kingdom, so let’s get right into it!
We know, we know — when it comes to reporting on prices, most of the time, we have to announce that Disney has raised prices on things. And believe us — we’re not big fans of price hikes either.
From price increases at our favorite snack spots (Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, we’re looking at you) to our favorite restaurants (hello, Chefs de France [seriously, what’s up with France RN!]) to Wishables to Spirit Jerseys to masks, it seems like everything at Disney World is starting to cost more. So we have to ask the question — has Disney ever REDUCED prices? And well, you what? It has!
