EPCOT France Executive Director Comments on Reopening Of Pavilion’s Restaurants

8-7-20 UPDATE: A previous title of this article implied that the Executive Chef made comments on the restaurants’ future. We have since reached out to Executive Director Eric Weistroffer for official comment and have updated this article accordingly.

Right now, you can grab a delicious croissant in the France pavilion in EPCOT at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie.

News: Executive Chef Bruno Vrignon Is Retiring After 38 Years at EPCOT’s France Pavilion

After 38 years of working for Walt Disney World, acclaimed executive chef Bruno Vrignon has decided to step away.

Vrignon has been at EPCOT’s France pavilion since the park’s 1982 opening and has contributed to the success of Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul, two of the property’s most-noteworthy restaurants.

We’ve found lots of fun new items at EPCOT’s France pavilion lately.

Souvenirs de France, the gift shop in the back of the pavilion, next to Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, has been a treasure trove of new, adorable merchandise. We even found a new spirit jersey there and the new macaron Minnie ears! Now, we’ve spotted even more kitchen items that will help you turn your kitchen into a spot fit for a true French chef. Maybe even Remy will come to help you cook!

The “opening summer 2020” might have come down recently, but one thing’s for sure — while future plans for Spaceship Earth’s refurbishment and the new Mary Poppins attraction have been put on hold, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure will be opening someday — hopefully soon!

Now that we know Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival will be returning (in a modified and slightly smaller [but LONGER!] form), we’re looking forward to seeing which food booths will be returning!
