Disney dropped some HUGE news bombs ahead of the 50th debut, and we’re here to go over all the surprises from this week!

We’re super focused on Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, but we’ve got some news for the future as well! There are some amazing new attractions coming to Disney World (in fact, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure officially opened TODAY), and now we’ve got a sneak peek INSIDE one!
It’s not even the 50th Anniversary yet, but we’ve had SO much news coming out of Disney World this week!

We got an opening date for the Star Wars Hotel. We got a first look at the new Grand Floridian Vacation Club Rooms. We even learned about some new high-tech MagicBands that are coming soon. And we got an opening timeline of 2022 for EPCOT’s next attraction, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, along with some new details! Well, the news just keeps on coming, and we’ve got a first look at the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride vehicles.

We’ve been keeping an eye on construction for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind for a while now (we even got our first look inside yesterday!!), and we’re excited to finally start counting down the days until its opening!

It includes new restaurants, stores, neighborhoods, and attractions. We’ve been crossing our fingers extra-tight that we would hear more information about the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind thrill ride coming to EPCOT as part of the transformation, and boy oh boy do we have some thrilling news to share with you!

A Peek at the Construction in EPCOT
While some projects have been completed, like EPCOT’s entrance area, others are still a work in progress, like attractions that were supposed to be opening soon. But, EPCOT is still getting ready for the big 50th anniversary celebration. And, we just learned about another part of the park’s transformation that will be ready for the anniversary!
EPCOT often gets a bad rap and, frankly, we just totally don’t get it!

But despite the big transformation, the park is currently undergoing, AND the TWO new attractions (Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind) headed its way, people still seem to have certain perceptions about EPCOT that are simply not true! So we’re here to bust those lies wide open! We’re putting out our OG EPCOT Center hats and ready to drop some truths on y’all.
Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration will be an event unlike anything we’ve seen in quite some time! This eighteen-month-long birthday party is full of new entertainment offerings, firework spectaculars, dazzling golden statues, and of course, special edition merchandise to collect.

If you’re visiting Disney World during the 50th Anniversary Celebration, there are a few key planning tips you should keep in mind!
Rides and hotels across Disney World are constantly being updated and improved, so we see them close for construction or other reasons periodically.
The Main Street, U.S.A. Railroad Station
Just so that you’re aware of any closures that are happening during your Disney World trip, we checked out which rides and hotels are expected to be closed soon. Keep in mind that rides can still close unexpectedly if bad weather, technical difficulties, or other issues create problems that make them unsafe to ride. We can anticipate some of the refurbishments, though! Here’s a list of all the scheduled Disney World closures for September.

Both BIG, FAST rides were originally projected to open with Disney World’s 50th anniversary, and Disney has yet to officially confirm whether their opening dates will be delayed.
