With the 50th anniversary only a few days away, we have a LOT of updates from Magic Kingdom!
Disney World is a very magical place, but even in the most magical place on Earth, things happen that can put a damper on your vacation plans.
Happily Ever After Fireworks
For example, sometimes rides get shut down due to technical problems or weather. Or at other times, attractions could be down for annual maintenance and sprucing up. And sometimes, fireworks shows get canceled. But WHY exactly do fireworks get canceled sometimes??
Main Street Confectionery is officially BACK and ready to invite guests inside from all over the Magic Kingdom!
Time to Go Inside!
Disney gave us a sneak peek at all sorts of new treats that would be coming to the treat stop, including Skittles Sugar Cookie Pies, an interactive candy wall, M&M wreath decorations, and more! Along with old Confectionery favorites, 30 new treats are also on the menu for everyone to try!
It’s almost here — the 50th Anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort!

We’re excited to celebrate with fireworks, new entertainment, merchandise, and so much more. But here at DFB, there’s typically one thing that gets us extra pumped — Disney World snacks! And today we got the full list of treats and special eats coming to the parks and resorts for the 50th.
There is SO much going on at Disney World. It turns out that getting the resort ready for the big 50th Anniversary celebration is a LOT of work!
Main Street Confectionery
So far, Cinderella Castle has undergone quite the transformation, Fantasyland has gotten a golden glow-up, and gold statues have popped up in the parks. The Main Street Confectionery in Magic Kingdom has also been closed for some renovations, but now (a day ahead of its set reopening date) the Confectionery has opened its doors and we got a peek inside!
Disney World’s 50th Anniversary is in just a few days, and there’s a lot we’ll be celebrating!
Magic Kingdom is preparing for its 50th Anniversary!
New fireworks shows, new costumes for Mickey and the gang, a new ride, and new restaurants, plus SO MUCH MORE! And some of these celebrations aren’t even waiting until the 50th to start — a few of them arrived at the parks a little early.
SO many things are happening around Disney World lately!
The 50th is almost here!
The parks are gearing up for the big 50th anniversary with new decorations and merchandise, and we’re about to see the grand openings for things like new fireworks and attractions. One thing coming soon is the reopening of the Main Street Confectionery, which has been closed for a while for renovations. But, we just got a reopening date, and, now we’ve got a look at the FULL menu for Main Street Confectionery!
There are a whole bunch of different souvenirs you can get in Disney World — spirit jerseys, Crocs, shirts, and (of course) those iconic Disney balloons.

While you may be familiar with the typical balloon designs in the park, today we spotted a spooktacular NEW balloon you can get right now!
Disney World’s 50th anniversary celebration kicks off this week!
Earidescence is everywhere!
While the official start of the festivities isn’t until October 1st, we’ve already seen special things around the parks, like banners, signs, and merchandise. Two of the 50th anniversary collections have been released in Disney World, and it looks like we’re about to get another one soon!
