January was busier than expected in Disney World, and February is going to FILLED with new and exciting things!
We’re going to be able to catch a new cavalcade, a new stage show, returning restaurants, and lots more, so let’s get into it!
Disney World changes their menus pretty often, but a lot of the changes can be subtle, so they’re kind of hard to notice if you just visit the parks occasionally.
But, it’s important to keep up with them so that the next time you visit you aren’t surprised by your favorite menu item no longer being available (ugh, isn’t that the worst?). So, let’s take a look at all of the menu changes in Disney World from this week!
Hello, DFB Readers! We’re enjoying some rather chilly weather at Disney World.
But here we are, still out in it, checking out everything all over the resort to see what’s new and stay up to date on everything. And now it’s time to see what’s going on at Disney World hotels, so let’s get on with the updates!
Disney World is home to a bunch of hotels, each with distinct theming, shopping, and dining.
We visit the resorts frequently to check out what’s new in the gift shops, at the restaurants, and all around, and this week we stopped by quite a few locations. So, without further ado, here’s everything that’s new in the Disney World hotels this week!
If you’re in the middle of planning your next Disney World vacation, you may be stuck on where to book your hotel accommodations. For starters, Disney World offers a variety of resort categories under three main price points: Value, Moderate, and Deluxe.
We’ve already discussed the pros and cons of staying at a Disney World Value Resort, and today we’re going to take a look at the category just above: Moderate Resorts! These hotels offer mid-level amenities and mid-level prices (sort of like the “Goldilocks” of Disney World hotels).
Hello, DFB Readers! Happy New Year! We hope you had a wonderful holiday season.
And now that we’ve eaten SO many holiday treats, we’re ready for all the new snacks 2022 has in store for us. But in the meantime, we’ve also got the latest restaurant menu updates you’ll want to know about — so here’s EVERY menu change we spotted in December 2021.
With both the 50th Anniversary and the holiday season going on right now, Disney World has a LOT of new snacks and treats.
You can get snacks that nod to old Disney World rides for the 50th or grab a festive treat to celebrate the holidays. We’ve already tried a lemon-y sugar cookie snowman, some simply delicious Reindeer Mousse, and even a very large Christmas cookie sundae. Now, we’re heading to the hotels to pick up the newest festive treat in Disney World! [Read more…]
A few weeks back, Disney’s Port Orleans Resorts reopened (Riverside on October 14th and French Quarter shortly after on October 28th). However, Riverside’s beloved table service restaurant, Boatwright’s Dining Hall, stayed closed during the initial opening phase.
But now, Boatwright’s has opened to the public once again after being closed for nearly two years, and we’re here, ready to chow down and tell you our thoughts! Let’s dig in.
Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort is a casual table service offering that features Southern Louisiana cuisine.
Although Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort reopened in October, not everything there opened with the resort. Boatwright’s remained closed, and fans eagerly awaited when this hidden gem of a restaurant would finally reopen. But today, we’ve got some good news for fans out there, because Boatwright’s is now OPEN!
Disney World attractions, rides, and restaurants can close down for a myriad of reasons, sometimes planned and sometimes not.
The unplanned closures are usually due to weather or technical issues, but there are also some scheduled closures for maintenance that you can plan for during your trip. We like to keep you updated on what’s going to be closed in Disney World so that you’re not blindsided when you arrive in the parks! Â [Read more…]
