If you’re heading to Magic Kingdom in early August, we’ve got good news. Lightning Lane prices are finally taking a dip on a few select dates, and we’ve got the confirmed list right here. Whether you’re budgeting your trip down to the last dollar or just trying to pick the best day to ride more for less, this post is for you.
Well, just about everything seems to be changing in Disney World right now, and it’s enough to make your head spin. Magic Kingdom is getting a new expansion AND a new land. Disney’s Animal Kingdom is getting a new land. Disney’s Hollywood Studios is getting…yep, you guessed it…a new land.

There’s a huge change happening right now over in EPCOT, too. Test Track has been closed for over a year to be reimagined. Well, that reimagining is officially done, and Test Track is open to the public again. However, because of new demand for Test Track, Lightning Lane Multi Pass has also changed in EPCOT. EPCOT may be the only theme park in Disney World that isn’t currently getting a new land or expansion, although, granted the park got a HUGE transformation several years ago.
Test Track!
However, that doesn’t mean you don’t have something new to look forward to in EPCOT. On the contrary…the new version of Test Track is set to open on July 22nd. Now, the ride has been open for early previews for SELECT Disney World visitors, but today, Test Track has soft opened for EVERYONE.
This year has been a HUGE year for change in Disney World. Muppets Courtyard has closed in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to make way for a Monsters, Inc. land. In Magic Kingdom, Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America have closed to make way for a new Cars expansion (plus a Villains land is coming to the park, too). Parts of DinoLand, U.S.A. have already closed in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to make way for a new Tropical Americas-themed land.
Test Track will reopen soon
In EPCOT, Test Track has been closed for over a year so that it could get a completely new theme and upgrade. Well, that ride is reopening soon, and that’s going to change how you use Lightning Lanes in EPCOT. We’re going to break it down for you.

In Disney World, three new lands are coming to three parks, while Disneyland is seeing a lot of updates RIGHT NOW as part of its 70th Anniversary Celebration. One of the biggest Disneyland 70th Anniversary Celebration updates has been made to “it’s a small world,” which just debuted a new verse in both Disneyland AND Disney World. We visited Disney World this morning and rode “it’s a small world” to check it out.
It might be cliche to say “Welcome, foolish mortals” every time we talk about Haunted Mansion…but we’re going to do it anyway. That’s because we are obsessed with this spooky ride that takes us to a swinging wake attended by 999 haunts.

Something HUGE is happening in EPCOT right now.

Test Track has been closed for over a year, but it’s getting ready to reopen with a new theme on July 22nd. Now, we already got a preview of the ride (and Annual Passholders, Disney Vacation Club Members, Golden Oak residents, and Club 33 Members have been checking it out, too). However, some OTHER lucky Disney World visitors have been offered the RARE chance to ride the new Test Track before it opens! And by lucky…we mean SUPER lucky…as in maybe they need to go buy lottery tickets later.
