December was poppin’ over at Walt Disney World!
While there are always new things happening year-round, we’ve rounded up 15 big and exciting things that were NEW to Disney World this past month! There were lots of announcements, grand openings (or reopenings), and more, so let’s dive in and check out some exciting Disney news!
Is it really a holiday if Disney doesn’t make a cupcake to celebrate?
Over the past few months, we spotted cupcakes for Halloween, Thanksgiving, and way too many to count for Christmas (including one with a cool hidden Mickey)! But, if you’ve been around a while, you know that Disney cupcakes are kinda our “thing,” so we don’t typically complain when we get to try one. Today we stopped by the BoardWalk Bakery to try their New Year’s cupcake, and we have a few things to say about it!
Another week has gone by and we’ve gotten some BIG news out of Disney World and Disneyland!
You may have read our post rejoicing over the opening of Gideon’s Bakehouse at Disney Springs, but did you hear that dates for EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival have been announced for 2021Â or hear that one of Disney’s water parks will be opening soon? There are a bunch of new things you’ll want to check out during your next Disney trip — whether that’s to Disney World or Disneyland (when it reopens at some point in the future), and we’re breaking down 5 of those today!
After Disney World’s reopening, the resort has been continuing to adjust its standard operating procedures to better accommodate guests, as well as to stay in line with current health and safety guidelines.
This is especially true for smaller shops and restaurants at Disney World that can present challenges for maintaining social distance. Disney, though, continues to rise to those challenges.
Well, it’s Christmas week and there’s a lot going on at Walt Disney World!
There are holiday celebrations at the parks, resorts, and Disney Springs with characters and decorations, there are seasonal snacks to be found all around the resort, and there is even some special holiday entertainment at EPCOT’s Festival of the Holidays. We want to make sure we cover ALL the Disney news this week, so we traveled to the EPCOT area resorts to see what things are like over there!
The holiday season brings all kinds of special treats to Disney World!
We’ve been indulging in a lot of holiday cupcakes, cookies, drinks, and more! But some Disney World restaurants are also offering some NEW holiday menus!
We’re big fans of Mickey-shaped food here at DFB!
From Mickey pretzels to Mickey waffles to Mickey ice cream bars, we think food just tastes better when it’s Mickey-shaped!
Merry Christmas Eve, DFB Friends!
We’ve spent the past month trying out all the holiday snacks at Disney World, including Peppermint Cream Cheese Mousse, a gingerbread cupcake, and a Hanukkah cookie! But we’re not done yet, because we’ve got another holiday treat we just tried TODAY!
