There’s a lot of work being done over at Disney’s Polynesian Resort at Disney World.

The resort is currently undergoing a big Moana– themed refurbishment, and we’ve been following a lot of the construction progress!
The temperature has started to drop, the fuzzy sweaters are out, and Christmas has started to sweep its way across Disney World!

While the parks will be in a full holiday swing from November 6th through December 30th, entertainment and experiences in the parks and resorts are seeing some MAJOR differences this Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s.

Christmas might have some yummy snacks and meals, but the food is the CENTERPIECE of a good Thanksgiving. Luckily, we found a pretty awesome tribute to Turkey Day in Disney World today — and it’s in SANDWICH form.

While looking for the latest food, construction, and merchandise, we found some new holiday treats, an old favorite, and some transportation updates. So, let’s get started!

Fall is in full swing and that means we have our PICK of fun pumpkin-y treats! We’ve even found new treats TODAY like a Bourbon Pumpkin Cheesecake and THIS delicious dessert! Take a peek!
We’ve had Pumpkin Spice Waffles, a Pumpkin Pie Tart, a Pumpkin Pie Cheesecake, Pumpkin Mousse, and MORE pumpkin treats all around Disney World. Basically, if it tastes or looks like fall, odds are we’re going to try it!

And today, we’re back at it again! We stopped by one of the Disney World Resort hotels and found boozy pumpkin treat and just had to see how it would stack up against all the other pumpkin things we’ve had.
While there’s some merchandise that you can find all through Disney World no matter where you go, there are some spots with really unique (and sometimes incredibly delicious) items you can only get there, and sometimes they develop a bit of a following.
Honolulu Cookie Company Shortbread Cookies
That seems to be the case with the Honolulu Cookie Company cookies that used to be available at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort! We hadn’t spotted these cookies at this hotel for a WHILE, but recently we noticed…they are back!

Things are definitely going to look a bit different in Disney World during this holiday season than in years past.
