If you’re heading to Disney World this next week, you’ll want to keep an eye on construction and updates going on around the parks.
We’re here to let you know what’s scheduled to be closed for refurbishment in the parks and Disney World hotels!
There are few Disney World treats as beloved as Dole Whip.

Firecracker Cone
Yes, we’ll admit, we’re obsessed with this frozen fruity snack, but it is ICONIC for a reason! There are endless possibilities when it comes to Dole Whip combinations — we’ve tried Coconut Raspberry, Lemon Lime, Pineapple Coconut, and SO many more! But today, we found something that will make fans of spice VERY happy.
Close your eyes and picture yourself on the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in Walt Disney World. Can you see the dutiful prison pup holding the jail cell keys? Can you hear the cannons exploding around you? Can you smell that musty water smell?
Disney Imagineers are masters of creating fully immersive attractions and experiences that transport you to another world (or galaxy). A major part of that experience often involves your sense of smell — can you recognize any of Disney’s classic smells?
‘Ohana at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been open for a little over a month now, serving a modified menu for lunch and dinner.
This menu was apparently very temporary because they’re already switching it up and bringing back some old favorites! We’re back at ‘Ohana today to try the new, er, old? menu items again! Take a look at what we found!
If you’ve taking a trip around the Magic Kingdom Resort Monorail loop recently, you have probably noticed that you currently cannot get on or off at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
The resort, which has gone through extensive renovations along with a re-theming of their guest rooms inspired by Moana, has had no working Monorail station for several months now as the station undergoes some renovations.
We’ve seen quite a few restaurant reopenings at Disney World in the past few months!
We tried the newly reopened Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom, Toledo at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, and Yachtsman Steakhouse just recently. Back at the beginning of July, the ever-popular ‘Ohana reopened at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort reopened, and now it looks like the restaurant is getting some major changes!
We’re back to check in on all the construction projects going on around Disney World!
Fall has already arrived in the parks (along with LOTS of new treats) and the Walt Disney World 50th Anniversary celebrations are just around the corner! And, with the countdown on until the park icons transform into “beacons of magic,” new rides make their big debut, and more, Disney is busy at work sprucing up the parks. So, let’s take a look at all the construction progress from this week!
There are a lot of great Table Service meals in Disney World, but what about the things that come before the main course?
We’ve done our fair share of ranking the Disney World restaurants over the years — ranking them by park and even by condiments. There’s one (usually) free component of the meal though that we seem to look forward to almost more than the meals at times — BREAD! Today we’re talking to all you carb lovers out there and covering the BEST restaurants to eat at if you’re in it for that sweet, sweet bread basket!
We might be biased, but we would argue that Disney World hotels are some of our favorite hotels across the whole world! Not only do they offer a variety of themes and locations, but with the three categories — Value, Moderate, and Deluxe — they offer something to guests with a variety of budgets.
But there’s something else to consider when you’re booking that hotel room — what about the view? Now for some, the view isn’t that important, but if you’re like us and like to spend a little time at the hotel you’re staying at, you’ll want to book a hotel that has something nice to look at, right?
Extra Magic Hours haven’t been available at Disney World since it shut down back in 2020. Instead, Disney created new perks for hotel guests that aren’t quite the same as Extra Magic Hours but do allow guests more time in the parks.
Hotel guests on Disney property are able to get Early Theme Park Entry to all 4 theme parks, meaning they can go into the parks before they officially open. This includes guests at every Disney-owned hotel on property as well as Disney Springs Resort Area Hotels, Disney World’s on-property military hotel, and other local hotels. We have a full list of all the hotels eligible for Early Theme Park Entry here.
However, ONLY guests at Deluxe and Deluxe Villa resorts have access to Extended Evening Hours, which allow you to stay in certain parks on select nights after they close. But the big question: would YOU be willing to shell out Deluxe resort prices for this perk? Here’s what our readers said!
