After years of waiting, Disney finally announced an opening date for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom!
Not only that, but we’ve officially got details on how the virtual queue and Genie+ will work, and just who will get to preview the new ride before it officially opens. Disney announced that Annual Passholders, Cast Members, DVC Members, and D23 Members would all have the opportunity to preview Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, and if you’re a passholder trying to snag a spot — we’ve got an update for you!

Over the last several days, Disney has released a SLEW of information on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, including the ride’s official opening date, how Annual Passholder previews will work, details on the virtual queue and Lightning Lane process, new merchandise, and even a preview of the attraction photo. Now, Disney has also released information on how Cast Members will be able to preview the new attraction.

In recent days, they’ve revealed the highly anticipated ride’s opening date, how Annual Passholder previews will work, and that Tiana’s will utilize both a virtual queue and Lightning Lane at opening. We’ve waited for what seems like FOREVER for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure to open at Disney World, and now, we’re ALMOST THERE. In June 2020, Disney announced that the water-based ride Splash Mountain would close to be rethemed into an attraction inspired by the Disney animated film, The Princess and the Frog. Disney has shared that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will pick up the story of The Princess and the Frog “after the final kiss, and join Princess Tiana and Louis on a musical adventure – featuring some of the powerful music from the film – as they prepare for their first-ever Mardi Gras performance.”
