There are LOTS of hotel rooms in Disney World…as in more than 36,000 hotel rooms. Yowza. And yes, some of those are better than others.
Some of the Disney World resorts sport some pretty crazy rooms. Ever seen those Bungalows at the Polynesian? Yeah, those cost about $3 grand PER NIGHT, sometimes more. There are some hotel rooms though that are actually worth the price of the upgrade. Let’s take a tour and we’ll tell you why!

Currently, the four Walt Disney World theme parks (and both water parks) are temporarily closed as part of the efforts to promote safety due to concerns over the Coronavirus. However, following closure of the parks, select areas of the Resort remained in service of guests during a transitional phase.
As the Resort went through its closing phases, we continually updated this post daily as various parts of the Resort begin their temporary closures, and we are keeping it current at this time. Here is an at-a-glance list of the status of Disney World operations.Â
Guests who will be at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel over the next few days before the hotels are closed on March 20, 2020 at 5:00 PM due to concerns over the Coronavirus will want to be advised of some additional changes which will also take place this week.
According to the Walt Disney World website, “All Disney transportation will be suspended beginning the morning of Wednesday, March 18, 2020 through the end of the month.” (Please note that Disney’s Magical Express will continue to transport guests to and from the airport through March 20.) We’ve got a brand-new Disney World update for you! We did some resort hopping to see what we could find at Disney’s Art of Animation, Pop Century, and the All-Star Resorts!
And just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, we found some festive drinks and merchandise!
Our cupcake senses have been going bonkers lately! No sooner do we find the sweet little Baymax Cupcake at Disney World’s All-Star Sports than we pick up the scent of another treat just across the way.
We found this delectable little cupcake at All-Star Music’s Intermission Food Court and we had to dig in because of three syllables: CHOC-O-LATE!
Although Baymax is no longer greeting at the Epcot Character Spot, he’s just shown up somewhere else at Disney World!
And while he kinda reminds us of the Big Hero 6 Cupcake we saw years ago at Hollywood Studios when the film was first released, this version is waaay cuter!
