Not that it surprises us that Disney was surprising…er…something like that. Anyway, this week was full of holiday announcements, character meet-and-greet news, and lots more! Check out all the news here!
So who’s celebrating 626 Day? In case you don’t know about 626 day, it’s the day we celebrate Experiment 626, aka Stitch — June 26th!

Okay, we don’t really need a reason to celebrate Stitch because he’s lovable year-round! We’re celebrating by reflecting on the wild history of Stitch in Disney World, checking out a new Harveys Stitch collection, and eating some Stitch-inspired snacks (yes, that means MORE BLUE FOOD, y’all). So we’re picking up a Stitch snack that got an upgrade from last year!

Today, we honor one of our favorite aliens, Experiment 626 — Stitch! June 26th (get it…626) marks the special “holiday” where we get to celebrate the little guy. We’ve seen fun items like kitchen accessories, plushes, and bags! A special treat also returned to Disney World for the occasion, but…it looks different this year.
Change is inevitable, even in Disney World.

Over the past two years, we’ve seen a LOT of change: we’ve experienced new rides, we’ve eaten a lot of new foods (the kind of change we’re total fans of), and we’ve watched supply issues cause problems across the resort. We’ve also seen price increases on merchandise and at restaurants, and there’s been more of that this week, so let’s get on with the restaurant menu updates!

There’s so much to see and do around the parks and beyond that it can sometimes seem difficult to keep track of it all — luckily, that’s where we come in. We’re in the parks ALL THE TIME looking for the latest news and updates, and we’re back again with the biggest construction updates from Disney World this week!
We’re still waiting on a launch date for an exciting new service — MagicBand+!
MagicBand+
MagicBand+ will give guests the classic MagicBand functionality, as well as new experiences, like the ability to interact with 50th-Anniversary statues, or the opportunity to become a Bounty Hunter in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! But, if you’re not looking to upgrade to MagicBand+ when it releases, that’s totally fine! Your classic MagicBand will still work around Disney World. So, if you’re looking to add a new, exclusive classic MagicBand to your collection, or just distract yourself from the fact that we’re still waiting on MagicBand+ news, check out the new MagicBands we found in EPCOT today!

From the parades to the stage shows, we’ve been excited whenever we’ve seen another Disney World performance return to the parks. We recently saw the reopening of the Hoop-Dee-Doo Musical Revue and the revamped version of Animal Kingdom’s Finding Nemo musical, Finding Nemo: The Big Blue… and Beyond! We noticed showtimes for another Animal Kingdom show!

Many Disney rides have closed over the years and been replaced by others — some rides you may have even completely forgotten about! The fan-favorite Disney alien, Stitch, used to have more than just cool (but sometimes creepy) merchandise in the parks (we’re looking at you Stitch Crashes Disney Collection).
