March was a BIG month of news for Disney World and lots of news can sometimes make for surprises!
From dining changes to health measure updates and more, let’s take a look at the four most unexpected things that happened in Disney World in March!
Did you know that you can eat in SPACE in Disney World? (And no, we’re not talking about the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel). We’re referring to Space 220 in EPCOT, which is located in the World Discovery section of this park! At this restaurant, you’ll board an elevator and head “220 miles above the Earth” to eat your meal in space.
We’ve already eaten just about everything on the menu here for lunch, dinner, and the lounge, but now Disney has added some brand NEW items! Sometimes you gotta go where everybody knows your name! Whoops, that’s Cheers, isn’t it?
You know that feeling of walking into your neighborhood bar and everyone knows you? The Cheers reference holds true of this spot too. That’s basically the feeling you get when walking into Rose and Crown. We like the food just fine but we love the feeling we get when we enter the pub doors at this EPCOT restaurant. Â Step inside for a pint and see what the restaurant is like since our last visit!
Whew! After basically 4 hours of mega-meal, we’ve finally wrapped up our first foray into Takumi-Tei in Epcot’s Japan!
Earlier today we shared our first look at this beautiful space, and now we’ve got the FULL REVIEW for you!
Let’s head inside!

AAAAAH! It’s HERE! One of the highly anticipated NEW restaurants in Epcot is finally soft opening and we can’t WAIT to bring you inside! Ready to head into Takumi-Tei? Let’s go!
The newest, signature restaurant in the Japan pavilion is soft opening for the first time today, and we couldn’t wait to report for you.
Takumi-Tei, which means “House of the Artisan,” is a signature restaurant. In Disney-speak, that translates to a high-end, two-credit option on the Disney Dining Plan…and a date night must-do for sure!
As is the case with many Japanese restaurants, the atmosphere and experience of the architecture and decor is as much a part of the meal as the food. In speaking with the manager, we found that that the entrance way at Takumi-Tei represents a passageway between Epcot and Japan.
