Festival of the Holidays is happening at Epcot!
Christmas time is in full swing at Disney World. Our wallets have been hurting lately as we try out the newest holiday snacks and treats and shop for new holiday merchandise. We’ve got BIG EPCOT news!
Due in part to the COVID-19 global pandemic, many Disney projects have been put on hold, and many of them we’re not sure will ever happen. One of these projects is the DuckTales Scavenger Hunt in World Showcase in EPCOT, which was originally supposed to premiere in 2019. After not hearing anything for years, we heard rumors months ago it was set to happen, and now we’ve got an opening date!
Disney adults…go to Disney World and they’re EVERYWHERE!
We’re not really ones to talk though, I mean, we’re all technically Disney adults here at DFB! But if you’re reading this, we’re willing to bet that you’re just like us. The Alfajores is a popular new vanilla shortbread cookie from the Nochebuena Cocina booth Disney released the recipe! We can’t wait to roll up our sleeves and get baking…
Okay, we’re just going to say it — the best part of Disney World is the food. You know us, that’s what we’re here for!
So although we enjoy the OTHER parts of Disney World, we’re going to tell you a lot about the food because that’s our passion. We’ve told you all about everything we ate at the EPCOT Festival of the Holidays. We’ve kept you updated on all the holiday snacks that have turned up. And we’ll keep telling you about any restaurant menu changes that happen.

All of this festiveness brings out a lot of people to the parks, so you need to be prepared if you’re going soon! Come along with us to take a look at the park hours and park pass availability for next week in Disney World!
EPCOT is decked out for the festive season right now, with Festival of the Holidays in full swing. Although there’s a lot to do in this park between the food booths, entertainment, Cookie Stroll, and more, there’s one attraction that’s been CLOSED for a long time now.

A LOT of things were announced as part of the massive EPCOT transformation before 2020, but because of the global health crisis, some projects were put on hold indefinitely.
Some of those projects are finally coming to fruition: we got a new Guardians of the Galaxy Ride, construction on the Moana attraction is coming right along, and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure has been open for a while. But the DuckTales-themed scavenger hunt that was mentioned way back in 2019 was nowhere to be seen for quite some time — until now.
