Known for its Outpost Mix Popcorn, this place can hit the spot for those craving a sweet ‘n spicy snack on Batuu, and now they have TWO flavors to choose from!
Whenever a new land opens at Walt Disney World, the hype is always extremely real. But we all know that like anything else, that excitement can flicker out pretty quickly (AKA any YA novel fandom).
The question is: how do you test if a land is a hit in Disney after it opens? It’s not only its initial popularity that keeps it high on the list but the continual visits from guests, how long the wait times are, and even what’s inside the land itself (still not over the Viewmaster slides in Toy Story Land tbh). And the differences between Pandora’s opening in 2017 and Galaxy’s Edge’s opening this year seem to show — at least anecdotally — that the two don’t stack up very similarly in terms of overall popularity.
In case you haven’t heard, there are a LOT of changes coming to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort.
While many changes come in the form of new attractions (like the highly-anticipated TRON Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind), there are also a whole bunch of NEW restaurants coming soon, like Space 220 and Topolino’s Terrace, to the parks and resorts! Let’s explore all the new and soon to be new options you need to know about.
The grain merchant Kat Saka runs a stall in the marketplace of Black Spire Outpost on the planet Batuu. The local specialty is the Outpost Mix, which guests visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge can enjoy here at Kat Saka’s Kettle!
The bustling marketplace is filled with shops and other places to grab a bite or sip like Ronto Roasters and the Milk Stand. Within the busy scene, you’ll be able to identify Kat Saka’s Kettle by the bins filled with grains from across the galaxy on either side of the stall. [Read more…]
Just about a month ago, Star Wars Celebration took place in Chicago. This Star Wars fan event revealed lots of fun and exciting details about what’s to come when Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge opens in Disneyland on May 31st and in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios on August 29th.
Among the reveals that day was the unveiling of exclusively themed bottles for Coca-Cola® beverages coming to Galaxy’s Edge. Guests will be able to purchase these unique bottles at Kat Saka’s Kettle, which will also serve a local Black Spire Outpost snack — the sweet and spicy Outpost Mix popcorn. [Read more…]
opens in Disneyland on May 31 and in Walt Disney World on August 29. In addition to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run, lots of new merchandise locations, and plenty of intergalactic immersion, we’re really looking forward to the food (and drinks!). Black Spire Outpost will play host to three new eateries and two new watering holes — you know we’re gonna try ’em all!
Here’s what we’re going to eat (and drink!) FIRST in Galaxy’s Edge!
When Galaxy’s Edge opens, we’re going to need a quick burst of energy to fuel the fun. Enter: Milk Stand. This stand will serve up — you guessed it! — milk (well…kinda)! But since this is the planet Batuu, it’s Blue Milk! And since this is actually Florida, this non-dairy drink will be soft-frozen like a milkshake to keep us cool in the Outpost!
Milk Stand will also serve Green Milk, which Disney says has a refreshing citrus component. [Read more…]
A few weeks ago, Disney released information about new dining options in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge (see it here!), and Kat Saka’s Kettle was introduced as a flavored popcorn stand. Now, we have a look at BRAND NEW concept art for this spot!
In keeping with other concept art we’ve seen from Galaxy’s Edge, Kat Saka’s appears to blend right into the scene. [Read more…]
