Well, we recently decided to take a jaunt across the pond (aka World Showcase Lagoon) to check out some dining in the U.K. Pavilion, so we’re inviting you to join us as we grab some traditional British fare at Rose and Crown Pub and Dining Room.
To quote Sam the Eagle, it’s time to salute all nations, but mostly to America. That’s because we’re headed straight into Liberty Square in Magic Kingdom, designed to throw us back to colonial America, complete with its colonial-style buildings and infamous brown river.

But we’re not here to dilly dally. Oh no…we’re here to chow down on one of the only places in Disney World where you can get a holiday feast 365 days out of the year. Yep, we’re heading to Liberty Tree Tavern, so come join us!
Well, it’s been quite a week, hasn’t it? Disney World just threw a ton of announcements at us, including details about price increases for tickets, Annual Passes, and more.

Pretty much EVERY Disney World restaurant also saw price increases this week, but in addition to that, we noticed some other menu updates.
Fall is often the time of year when Disney World generally announces a ton of its price increases, and well, that’s what we saw this past October.

Not only are tickets and Annual Passes getting more expensive, but parking has also gone up in price, too. We also saw price hikes for food and drinks at Disney World restaurants across the resort. That includes California Grill at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, which will get a price hike on November 7th.
Okay, so you might be planning a trip to Disney World soon, and of course, you’re probably thinking about your budget.

We keep an eye out for menu updates, which means we often see price increases on food, so that could change your budget. However, in October, we generally see a SLEW of price increases come through for nearly every Disney World restaurant on property, and that’s what we’ve got to tell you about now, those increases that have hit theme parks.

We’re certainly enjoying the official start of spooky season (okay, technically that was two months ago in Disney World), as well as seeing what Disney World restaurants had in store for the month (we’re still not over the Double Stuff Oreo cookies at Gideon’s Bakehouse). We even found out some new desserts would be coming to Magic Kingdom’s fireworks party. NEW FOOD, y’all! In the meantime, a few Disney World restaurants changed their menus this week, so let’s see what’s been updated. Warning: Margaritas have been affected!
Walt Disney World offers a plethora of dining options across property. From quick service eateries to a MICHELIN Star-winning restaurant, there’s seemingly something for everyone. However, that doesn’t mean everything is for everyone.

From the countless restaurants inside Disney World’s four parks to those located at each hotel on property, as well as in Disney’s BoardWalk area and Disney Springs, there are some that we would argue should have an age minimum in place, at least during certain times of day. We know that might sound like sacrilege since Walt Disney World is a family destination first and foremost, but it wouldn’t be without precedent.

If you’ll be visiting Disney World for Thanksgiving (and willing to navigate the crowds), you’ll want to keep an eye out for special Thanksgiving snacks, of course. However, if you want to have a traditional Thanksgiving meal while you’re there, Disney has already dropped some details about restaurants that will be offering special Thanksgiving meals on the day.
In 2024, I had a really bizarre restaurant experience in Disney World.
Big River Grille
As one of the reporters on our team, I visit restaurants around Disney World frequently to do dining reviews, and in January 2024, I was tasked with going to Big River Grille on the BoardWalk. At the time, this was a rather under-the-radar spot that wasn’t often talked about, so I was eager to experience it for myself. But imagine my surprise when the restaurant shut down within a week of my visit!
