Your pals at the DFB are back with What’s New, and this week we’re back at Animal Kingdom and the All-Star Resorts! We’ve got menu changes (Satu’li!!), new merchandise, and a couple new activities to share. Let’s gooooooo!
You know we love to bring you the latest Disney World food news, and this week we are checking out What’s New at Animal Kingdom and the All-Star Resorts!
There is a TON of seasonal fun going on as we officially enter the Holiday Season, so get ready to join us and see it all!
Animal Kingdom is all sorts of FESTIVE, as the beloved park Christmas Tree is up for the season! And it’s just as magnificent as ever, presiding over the entrance to the park. [Read more…]
Looking for some over-the-top sips at Disney’s over-the-top themed All Star Resorts?

HAPPY SPRING, everybody!
Another winter is behind us and the warmth and blooms of spring are here at last. So we hope you’ll take a little Spring Break with us…
… to check out What’s New Around Walt Disney World, starting with these fun new hot drink cups! While we weren’t sure about the understated design on the new cups and plates in Disney Parks, I do like these particular quotes being front and center.
The BIG GAME is almost here! We’re of course talking about Super Bowl Sunday!!
There’s only one little problem, though: you’re in Walt Disney World.
Now, normally, that would be all kinds of awesome. But when it’s Super Bowl Sunday, we’re betting that there will be lots of you looking to find a TV in time to catch the match.
Lucky for you, we’re huge football fans too! So we’ve done our research to figure out where the best places to catch the Super Bowl — or any big game, really — are throughout Walt Disney World. And today, we’re here to share them with YOU, just in time for kickoff!
They come to you courtesy of the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining.
The Impossible: ESPN Club at Disney’s BoardWalk
So…here’s the deal. You were planning to head over to Disney’s BoardWalk suuuuper early, and stake out a spot at the bar to watch the Big Game at ESPN Club.
Um, here’s the bad news. Don’t bother.
Seating at this ultimate sports bar (yep, there are even TVs in the bathroom) is at such a premium that they aren’t even accepting walk ups. For the Super Bowl, it’s all premium reserved seating, which comes with a cover of $75 for guests ages 21 and older, and $50 for guests ages 1-20. [Read more…]
We know, we know… Back-to-School time is fast approaching (and in some spots, it’s already arrived!). But the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer aren’t quite over just yet, so we’ve still got some summer celebrating to do!
And, hey, the coming of Fall isn’t so bad, anyway. Not when we’ve got our very favorite autumnal event coming to the first stop on our tour in a matter of weeks. That’s why we’re kicking things off at Epcot to see What’s New!
Food & Wine Festival Coming Soon!
The 2016 Epcot Food & Wine Festival will be here before we know it! Sure signs of its return are starting to appear around the park…
… as in, like, literal signs . Even the Miniature Train display in the Germany Pavilion has received its annual decorations!
From August 1 – December 20, 2014, the Intermission Food Court at the All-Star Music Resort in Walt Disney World will be closed for refurbishments.
During these dates, All Star Music guests will have access to grab ‘n go selections at the Melody Hall Arcade space. Transportation will also be available to the neighboring All Star Sports Resort for guests who wish to enjoy the End Zone Food Court, which was completely refurbished in 2013.
These dates (along with the grab ‘n go scenario) echo those of the refurbishment that End Zone Food Court at All Star Sports underwent last year (from August 5 – December 20, 2013).
As we now know, when End Zone Food Court reopened last December, the result of the renovation was a cleaner look than it had previously showcased, with earthy hues replacing primary colors – all while maintaining the sports-centered theme of the Resort.
Some of the offerings that have been a hit at the Art of Animation Resort’s Landscape of Flavors Food Court (such as a Create-Your-Own Pasta Station and Gelato Bar) were incorporated into the menu along with standard Disney food court favorites. Additionally, it received an all-new option [Read more…]
There’s not a lot that I love better on a hot day in Florida than a little ice cream. But leave it to Disney World to kick ice cream up a notch by offering Gelato!
And we’re seeing it in a lot of different spots across Walt Disney World, and even in Disneyland. If you are a fan of this richer, more dense version of that snack we all scream for, then you’re in luck.
Today, we thought it was high-time to offer some inspiration for another DFB Food Challenge, and so we are going in search of all things gelato we can get our hands on with the Walt Disney World Gelato Crawl!
Since you can only enjoy so many desserts in a 24 hour period, feel free to bring along friends to split all the goodies, or pace yourself on the crawl by spreading out the stops over several days.
I hope you came hungry. Let’s get started!
Since our very first visit, Landscape of Flavors at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort has been one of our favorite counter service destinations. And one of the biggest reasons for that is their killer Gelato Bar!
If you’re lucky enough to be staying at Art of Animation, this first stop on the Gelato Crawl will be a snap! Check ‘em out!
But my favorite thing about the Gelato Bar here — aside from the variety of flavors — is that you can also add toppings for a perfectly customized treat.
Pick your scoops, pick your sprinkles, and off you go!
A couple of other Disney resorts also have gelato available. If you’re staying at Disney’s Coronado Resort, feel free to amend your crawl and start your gelato journey at Cafe Rix.
Ahhhh…don’t you just love having options??
Gelato Cookie Sandwiches in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion
After polishing off your first gelato of the day, head straight for Epcot, where you’ll have lots of different ways to enjoy your frozen favorite! Next stop: the Italy Pavilion.
For your next foray into gelato, stop by the little [Read more…]
2014 is already proving to be a delectable year at Walt Disney World!

Recently we visited the newly reopened End Zone Food Court at Disney’s All Star Sports Resort. Now we’re back to review one of the new features on the menu: the Create-Your-Own Burger Bar!
After a lengthy refurbishment, the new space was revealed! Featuring earth tones and a clean, fresh design, the food court maintains its fun sports theme.
While the theme is found in more subtle details now than it was previously, the element of fun is still very much present in the basketball court walls and the Disney characters who’ve joined in the mix!
Along with the new space came a revamped menu! You can still find standbys such as pizza, hot dogs, and the Best Chicken Breast Nuggets on Earth (*not the actual name, just my opinion ).
Today, though, we’re excited to share a review of one of the newest features in the food court: the Create-Your-Own Burger Bar!
First, guests have their choice of beef or chicken for their [Read more…]
