Can you hear that sound? It’s kinda quiet? Oh yeah, it’s our hearts breaking into two.
So. Many. Walls.
DinoLand U.S.A. formally closed in Animal Kingdom in February 2026, and it has truly been a bittersweet process. The land is being replaced with a Tropical American-inspired area called Pueblo Esperanza, which we are excited about, but it hasn’t made saying goodbye to Dr. Seeker any easier. Now, another huge part of DinoLand has disappeared forever, and we aren’t handling it well.
Another week has passed in Disney World, which means we’ve shared a ton of snack reviews, as well as a few new restaurant reviews with you. We’re always eating our way around Disney because, well, that’s our thing.

Well, we’ve got some Disney World restaurant menu changes to tell you about from this week, and we have to warn you…your favorite chicken place in Disney Springs just got more expensive.

DINOSAUR is gone, y’all
Disney World wait times have a reputation for being, well, unpredictable. Sure, we can look at past data to get an estimate of the crowd levels in Disney World, but you never know what may happen from year to year. So how did Disney’s wait times hold up as February began?
While construction is everywhere in Disney World right now, there’s one park that’s really getting hit extra hard — Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

This week, the remainder of DinoLand U.S.A. closed forever to make way for the new Tropical Americas land, which takes another ride away from guests visiting the park for now, as well as other attractions like certain meet and greets, dining at Restaurantosaurus, and the closure has made walking around certain parts of the park much harder. We thought things couldn’t get harder for this park, and then Disney made ANOTHER announcement about a temporary closure.
Animal Kingdom has been the talk of the town lately! This Disney park has said goodbye to its dinosaurs, which had led to even more construction and changes around the park.

While it can feel like this park is skippable these days, there is an exclusive group that should be running to Animal Kingdom for a limited time! From now until March 15th, there are 3 things that are going to make this wild park a little sweeter.

Terra Treats in Animal Kingdom just updated its menu, and you guys are going to be SO excited about what we found there! This spot is now home to hand-scooped ice cream and ice cream sandwiches, filling the void left behind when Dino-Bite Snacks closed a few months ago. Come with us to check out the new items!
Disney World Annual Passholders sometimes get to have ALL the fun, but that’s just part of the perks of being a Passholder. Not only do you get into the theme parks, but you also get things like free magnets, discounts on shopping and dining, exclusive merchandise, and more.

However, Disney World Passholders often get their own exclusive snacks, and a new exclusive snack just arrived in Disney’s Animal Kingdom! All we can say is we’re sorry if you’re not a Passholder because this new snack is GREAT.
We’ve often said that you can find some of the best Disney World food and drinks in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and you don’t even have to walk very far in the park to find something good to eat and drink.

That’s even more true just with drinks because Animal Kingdom has some pretty solid bars with unique options you won’t find anywhere else. Well, we just visited one of our favorite bars in Animal Kingdom, Thirsty River Bar, to try out some cocktails, and let’s just say…one of them is perfect for a summer day (even if we drank it in the dead of winter).

The land officially closed on February 2nd to make way for the new Tropical Americas land. With that change, we lost a couple of rides, a few dining locations, and some incredibly themed character meets. But don’t worry, many of those characters have now moved to other spots around the park!
