Disney recently announced that a new system would be replacing FastPass+ in Disney World soon.

Disney Genie+ will be a part of the new Genie planning system in the My Disney Experience app. While Genie is free, Genie+ is a paid service that allows you to make ride reservations in a similar way that you used to be able to using FastPass+. Only now, you will only be able to reserve one ride at a time, and you will enter the queue through the Lightning Lane instead of the FastPass+ lane (it’s the same lane — just renamed!). Today, we found more information about the old FastPass+ system while we were in the parks.

The park is in the middle of a massive transformation that includes new rides, areas, and structures. One of the new things is the Creations Shop, which will be replacing Mouse Gear as EPCOT’s flagship merchandise location. We just learned that Creations Shop will be opening on September 15th, and there will be new and exclusive merchandise for sale!
The start of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary celebrations is just a few weeks away!

On October 1st, we’ll get to experience all kinds of things as the festivities begin. There will be new fireworks shows, a new daytime show in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the release of new merchandise, new costumes for some of our favorite characters, and MORE! The project is coming along, with a new fountain in front of Spaceship Earth, reimagined Leave A Legacy displays at the entrance of the park, and new rides coming soon! As part of the changes, some EPCOT staples have closed to make way for new additions. Club Cool closed in 2019, but we found out earlier this year that a revitalized version of the fan-favorite spot is coming back to EPCOT. And we now know WHEN the new Club Cool will open!

From a new entrance area to new attractions, and more; the EPCOT Transformation is in full swing. We’ve been doing all of our shopping in a temporary Mouse Gear for a while, and now we know WHEN the BIG new EPCOT store will open!
Shoulder plushes are one of Disney’s cutest souvenirs! They’re these little plushes you can attach to your shoulder and show off your love for Disney characters.

We’re at the Magic Key Terrace!
Things have been pretty exciting here recently. We recently learned about all the fun holiday stuff coming back to Disneyland Resort this year (including the Festival of Holidays!). We have even MORE details about the Oogie Boogie Bash! And we just got to check out Magic Key Terrace, which is the new(ish) dining experience for Disneyland’s Magic Key holders!
Weather in Florida can be pretty unpredictable, which is why we always recommend that you come prepared when you’re visiting Disney World!
Rainy Day in Magic Kingdom
Especially in the summertime, there’s almost always a chance for a little bit of rain. This week, there’s more than just a small chance that we’ll see rainy weather in the parks!
Back in July, mask policies changed in Disney World and mask policies recently were updated again slightly. Currently, Disney requires all guests ages 2 and older to wear masks indoors and on most forms of transportation.

Over the past few weeks and months, we’ve seen some price changes when it comes to face masks, and for a time it was pretty difficult to even find Disney masks in the parks. Today, we saw masks available in Disney World, but there’s a BIG reason why you wont want to buy them in the parks.
