10 Disney World Restaurants CHANGED This Week

Although things are usually pretty quiet in Disney World, at least when it comes to food and drinks, this week has seen a few updates that we’ve already checked out. First, a brand new snack stand opened on Disney’s BoardWalk (and yes, we tried out some snacks). Then, Garden House reopened in the Japan Pavilion in EPCOT. We also got to try some new menu items over at Martha’s Vineyard at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts.

NEWS: Trader Sam’s Walk-up Waitlist Added to Disney World App

In the midst of rising prices and diminished value, Disney World is actually making it EASIER to snag a seat at one of the most popular lounges across the resort.

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto at Disney’s Polynesian Resort recently expanded its hours from the previous 3 PM to 12 AM, and will instead open earlier at 11 AM daily. This is welcome news for Disney and Tiki fans alike, but it looks like Disney isn’t stopping there. A Walk-up Waitlist has officially been added for Trader Sam’s in the My Disney Experience app!

We’ve got absolutely incredible news for Disney World fans who can’t get enough of Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto (AKA, it’s us, WE can’t get enough of this spot).

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is incredibly unique!

Trader Sam’s Grog Grotto is a bar/lounge located inside Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and previously, you’d have to wait until 3 PM to get into this spot and try some of their iconic drinks. That’s changed now, and we’re stoked — yes, you can now get into this lounge FOUR hours earlier!

REVIEW: A Disney World Restaurant Just WOWED Us With…TOFU?!!

We have quickly become big fans of the new Wailulu Bar & Grill at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort — Island Tower. Not only did the gorgeous views, airy atmosphere, and beautiful artwork sell us, but the food here is great.

We tried this restaurant right when it opened, and we keep coming back to it. Soon, you’ll be able to make reservations here, but for now, we simply stopped by again because we had to try another dish that we think will be super popular (at least, it should be)! This entree and drink combo will have you scraping the bottom of your bowl and ordering another round. So let’s dive in, shall we?!

Grab your calendars — another Disney World restaurant will start taking reservations soon!

Wailulu Bar & Grill

Wailulu Bar & Grill is the newest restaurant to open at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, located at the new Island Tower. This isn’t your typical pool bar — it features an all-day menu for lunch and dinner, plus specialty coffee and on-the-go morning pastries available for breakfast. Up until now, this restaurant has been first-come, first-served, but that’s all changing in December.

Another week has passed in Disney World, and it’s been a fun one. The new Zootopia show opened in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and we got to meet Nick and Judy right after we caught the show for the first time.
