The Monorail at EPCOT
We were on the monorail when we heard something we’re not quite used to. Now, we probably have the old one memorized because we’re always on, and once you hear it enough times, it just becomes a part of you. I guess we’ll have to memorize this new one because things are changing!

If you’ve been dreaming of the day you’ll be able to stay in Disney World’s newest hotel, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge, we’ve got some great news for you — an opening date has officially been announced!
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge
Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge is located closest to Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, and therefore is closest to Magic Kingdom park. We’ve been keeping a close eye on construction for the past few months, but now it’s finally time to start planning our stay.
The Disney Store is getting spooky, and we’re totally here for it. I mean, we’re already wearing our Halloween Disney pajamas and planning the perfect Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party costumes for the family, so you bet we’re going to need a few extra items for the season.

There are a few items listed on the Disney Store as “Private Access,” which is one way you can shop early looks before they sell out to the general public. Don’t worry — it’s super easy to join! All you need to do is subscribe to notifications, which you can do right here. Ready for the spooky items?

D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event
Earlier in August, we attended D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event in Anaheim and spent several days learning about upcoming Disney entertainment, park offerings, and the future of the company. While every day came with a TON of new information, a lot of what we learned revolved around updates regarding existing projects — in other words, updates we expected. HOWEVER, the Saturday Horizons: Disney Experiences Showcase dropped a couple of HUGE announcements that came out of nowhere — and we DEFINITELY need to talk about ’em!

This cookie is HUGE!
There are so many dining options at EPCOT that you never know what you might find. Even if it’s so ginormous, you shouldn’t even be able to miss it! Which is why this giant cookie wasn’t able to slip past our eyes. Once we saw it, we just had to try it, and now, we’re telling you about it.
It’s honestly hard keeping up with all the changes happening in Disney World right now, between new lands, new rides, updated rides, new hotels, hotel updates, and more! Well, even EPCOT seems to be getting in on the changes, which will include that Spaceship Earth upgrade we’ve been waiting for FOREVER. But something else is changing in EPCOT, too, and it makes us a little sad.
Mexico Pavilion
In the Mexico Pavilion, there’s a store selling Oaxacan Wood Carvings, and these wood carvings are some of the most unique souvenirs you can get in EPCOT. However, we just learned that the Oaxacan Wood Carvings store will be closing soon.
