There is A LOT to experience in Disney World for the 18-month long 50th-anniversary celebrations and we’ve been taking you along with us for it all!

And, while new rides, restaurants, and treats get a lot of the glory, there are some other details that you might miss if you’re not paying attention — Disney is all about the big things AND the little things after all! Well, today Disney is taking us behind the scenes to show us how they make THOUSANDS of one of the smallest 50th-anniversary details there is!
Over the past few months, many things have reopened throughout Disney World. But select things remain closed or you might unexpectedly find that popular merchandise items are out of stock or otherwise unavailable.
We’ve seen supply chain issues impact everything from cream cheese to lightsabers. Now we’re seeing some more locations closed or unavailable. Today we’re sharing an explanation for why this might be happening and what you should expect during your upcoming Disney trips.
Update: As of January 5th, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is back up and running again.
Poor Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been going THROUGH IT recently.
On top of huge holiday crowds, last week, we saw Rise of the Resistance go down AND have a 4-hour wait, along with popular attractions like Slinky Dog Dash, Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy, and Tower of Terror temporarily close. Now we’re into a new week and another Hollywood Studios ride is STILL having a rough time and we’ve got all the deets!

Last year, Bob Iger announced that he would be stepping down from his position as CEO of the Walt Disney Company.
He remains Executive Chairman of the company until the end of 2021. Iger was the CEO of Disney for 15 years and had major accomplishments like acquiring Pixar, Marvel, and Lucasfilm as well as opening Shanghai Disney Resort in China. Recently, the former CEO visited Disney World, and decided to share some appreciation for the cast members!
