PHOTOS: An Updated Look at TRON Construction in Disney World

There’s one question we’ve asked ourselves over and over again: When will the TRON rollercoaster FINALLY open in Magic Kingdom?

When will the TRON coaster finally open?

The TRON: Lightcycle Run rollercoaster was announced way back in 2017 and was supposed to open in time for the start of Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, but this was delayed due to the pandemic-related park closures in 2020. Since the rollercoaster was announced, we’ve seen several new rides open like Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (both located in EPCOT). When we were in Magic Kingdom recently, we decided to take a spin on the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover to look at the construction progress for the new ride. Here’s what we saw!

We’ve said goodbye to The Great Movie Ride (now Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway), Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride in Magic Kingdom is now Winnie the Pooh-themed, and of course, we know that Splash Mountain is going to be re-themed to The Princess and the Frog. All of this re-theming had us wondering what OTHER rides could use a refresh — so we decided to ask our readers for their opinions!

There are a LOT of snacks in Disney World.

Look at all those treats!

We’ll admit that while there are plenty of snacks we LOVE, we’ve had our fair share of snacks we wouldn’t get again. It’s also true that new snacks are often brought into the parks, but sometimes that means other snacks have to go. It looks like right now is one of those times — a new snack has debuted in Magic Kingdom…but it may be replacing a DFB favorite.

We got new treats for the summertime, for Father’s Day, for the 4th of July, and then a bunch of “just because” snacks for the 50th Anniversary. We’re constantly finding new things to eat in the parks, but when we checked the Mobile Order options at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe recently, we spotted something we didn’t expect!

You Can Meet Peter Pan in Magic Kingdom Again, But It’s COMPLICATED

She’s BACK! Come Visit Snow White in Magic Kingdom With Us

We just saw Minnie join Mickey at his Magic Kingdom meet and greet, and today, we’ve said “hi” to Jasmine and Aladdin and hugged an evil stepsister or two. But that’s not all, as we were just graced by the presence of Disney’s original princess — Snow White!

These two are HILARIOUS

Some of these characters we haven’t seen since Disney World’s reopening in 2020. Some have been around but just recently converted to traditional meet and greets. Most recently, we saw Jasmine and Aladdin return to Magic Kingdom. Now, though, an even MORE iconic duo is available for guests to hug there!
