Although Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure are still closed, the Downtown Disney District at Disneyland Resort, with all of its fantastic stores and restaurants, is open!
We’ve enjoyed several speciality shopping events there and even gotten the chance to check out the new Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge merchandise.

Last week, Disney experienced some technical difficulties with its gift card system and various stores and restaurants in the parks were unable to accept Disney Gift Cards and Disney Rewards Redemption Cards for a period of time.
A Cast Member advised us last week that the problem was later resolved, but it looks like the technical issues returned earlier today.

Things have been a little wonky when it comes to dining in Disney World today.
This morning, we noticed that Mobile Order was unavailable on the My Disney Experience app. We’ve been keeping an eye on how different quick service restaurants have handled the interruption today, but now it looks like the technical difficulties have been resolved.
Mobile Order has been a pretty BIG deal in a reopened Disney World.
With the global health crisis prompting Disney to reduce contact between guests and Cast Members, Mobile Order has been heavily encouraged at quick-service dining locations in and out of the parks in order to reduce crowding and to limit guest contact. Today, Mobile Order is temporarily unavailable, so we’re taking a look at how restaurants are handling it.

From the new Mobile Dine Walk-up Waitlist feature to Table Service To Go options in the existing Mobile Order function, the My Disney Experience app has seen some expansions when it comes to mobile dining. Today, it appears that Mobile Order experiencing some technical difficulties.Â
It’s been several months since we’ve been able to step beyond those gates and into Disneyland Park to enjoy the sights, sounds, and magic of the happiest place on earth. And, we’ll just say, we’re in serious need of some snacks from Bengal Barbecue!
Although we’re still waiting for an announcement of a new reopening date for Disneyland Resort, we’ve got updates now about some of the changes we can expect to see in the Anaheim theme parks when guests can finally enjoy them again.
Did you hear the news? Just last week, Mobile Order in Disney World expanded to include a Table Service restaurant for the first time, and today we’re learning a few more details on this updated feature.
But first, a bit of background: Mobile Order made its Disney World debut in May 2017. Launched within the My Disney Experience app, the feature allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at participating Counter Service restaurants, thereby saving time which would otherwise be spent in line. This recent expansion, though, introduced Mobile Order to a Table Service restaurant for the first time with To Go service from Sanaa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. [Read more…]
