We’re really enjoying the 2022 EPCOT International Festival of the Arts so far, and there has been so much to see, do, and eat since its kickoff last week!
This festival is SO colorful — we love it!
We’ve been to every festival food booth and tried dozens of eats and drinks, watched the awesome entertainment, and admired some truly beautiful artwork. If you’ve been before, you know that one of the highlights of the festival is the stunning chalk drawings…but what happens when it rains? Well, this weekend we got to see for ourselves.

There have been travel bans for certain countries and warnings not to travel to others, as well as thousands of flights being canceled due to the rise of the Omicron variant of COVID-19. But recently, France has relaxed its travel restrictions for one country it had previously banned all but essential travel from.

If you’re a Star Wars fan looking for lightsabers in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World or Hollywood Studios in general, things are a bit complicated.
Two lonely little lightsabers
The small lightsaber building experience at Tatooine Traders is not available at the moment due to supply issues, and we’ve visited the park on several occasions and found that the Legacy Lightsaber supply at Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities has been low or nonexistent. The lightsaber building experience at Savi’s Workshop has also run into some snags with lightsaber cases no longer being available. But, if you’re looking for a new lightsaber, you CAN find a special one online right now!

And there is such a huge variety, too. You can spend $5 or $500 on food, grab a snack quickly or sit down for a whole meal experience, and try theme park classics or items from around the world. There is really something for almost everybody at Disney World, but what are people’s absolute FAVORITE places to eat?! Well, we asked our readers if they could only keep ONE Disney World restaurant, which one would they keep? And, the results are in!
UPDATE: Disney recently announced that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind WILL be using a virtual queue when it opens on May 28th and that a standby line will not be available.
In an age where practically everything has gone digital, Disney has made strides to make one of our least favorite experiences — waiting in line for rides — go virtual. In doing so, they have introduced their Virtual Queue system, which hasn’t been widely adopted just yet but rather used for their most popular rides.
Rise of the Resistance
In Disney World, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT previously used Virtual Queues. On the west coast, Disneyland’s Rise of the Resistance, as well as WEB Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure also have used virtual queues in the past. But lately things with virtual queues have been CHANGING.
The Figment popcorn bucket, love it or hate it, has become a viral hit!
Figment says ‘hello!’
On the first day of EPCOT’s Festival of the Arts, the bucket had a 6.5 hour long line (!!!). The next day, LOTS of EPCOT guests still rope dropped the Pop Eats booth! Not only is the bucket a hot resale item, but “bad artwork” of the bucket went completely viral online! It’s been a WILD few days to say the least, but today the story of the purple dragon takes a very delicious turn!
