And even though I’ve been to these parks a hundred-odd times before, I felt like THIS particular trip taught me SO MUCH MORE about my personal happy place.
There’s FREE transportation in Disney World, but it can be complicated to navigate!
With everything from the Monorail and Skyliner to boats and buses, there’s a veritable web of transportation options criss-crossing Disney World. If you’re staying on Disney property, you’ll likely have one or two at your disposal at your resort. But right now, there’s a big transportation change at Old Key West.
Disney World’s hotels have long been known for their perks. From Early Entry and Extended Evening Hours to immersive theming and feature pools, Disney’s resort hotels offer a slew of amenities… which can make it surprising to realize things they DON’T have.
In fact, a somewhat common hotel room amenity is NOT automatically available in the vast majority of Disney hotel rooms: Microwaves.
Disney World has plans to expand, but that doesn’t mean they’re going to. Last year, a new document was filed with the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District that outlined potential expansion opportunities for the Most Magical Place on Earth over the next 20 years.
While nothing has been confirmed, both “new minor theme park” and “new major theme park” possibilities were mentioned in the document, which, of course, caused quite an uproar with folks thinking that a fifth Disney World park was on its way. Recently, these documents were updated with additional details clarifying what exactly Disney has planned for the future.
When we’re at Disney World, we love heading to Ale & Compass. This table-service restaurant serves New England-style cuisine at an affordable price, only a 5-minute walk from EPCOT‘s International Gateway at Yacht Club.
Disney just announced ten brand-new menu items are coming to Ale & Compass today, but we’re massively side-eyeing Disney for this, because we’ve already eaten these “new” foods!
We all have our own personal strategy for tackling the EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival — favorite booths, must-try dishes, the perfect walking route around World Showcase. But this one trick will set you up for success.

Full Spread at Mexico Global Marketplace
The 2026 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival runs from August 27th to November 21st, 2026 — nearly three full months of Global Marketplaces, live music, and enough snacks to keep any foodie busy all fall. Before you head in, let’s talk about the trick that will make your whole day easier.
When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle of the road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well.

Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom
We recently stopped by Cinderella’s Royal Table at Magic Kingdom to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here!
Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of Disney World’s most popular seasonal events, as the spooky spectacular’s offerings of candy, treats, and Halloween-themed characters, entertainment, and theming have all become fall traditions for many.
For some guests, the biggest highlight of the party is the ability to wear a costume inside the Magic Kingdom, a treat that’s usually reserved for guests 13 and under during Disney’s normal operating rules. However, those planning on dressing up should keep in mind the strict rules Disney enforces on costumes during the event.
Fireworks are one of the best ways to end your night at Disney World. Between Happily Ever After at Magic Kingdom, Luminous The Symphony of Us at EPCOT, and Fantasmic! at Hollywood Studios, there are so many fireworks options to choose from.
But your fireworks plans might be changing soon, because Disney just changed the showtimes of two popular fireworks shows in August!
Some people LOVE cruising and some people just cannot fathom why they’d ever pay thousands of dollars to be stuck on a boat in the middle of the ocean for a week.
But it gets really interesting when something happens on the cruising scene that makes one of these two groups completely do a 180 and literally change their mind about wanting to cruise!
