SO much is happening right now in Disney World that it’s easy to lose track of all the construction projects. Three of Disney World’s four parks are getting new lands and expansions, while Disney World hotels are busy getting updated lobbies, rooms, and more.
So if you’ve forgotten that Disney World is also building a brand new hotel, it’s understandable. However, we didn’t forget, and we’ve been keeping an eye out for updates. Well, now, thanks to some new photos, we can see all the progress that’s been made on this new hotel, Disney’s Lakeshore Lodge.
Something HUGE is happening in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, but we bet you already knew that. We’ve been following the construction of Pueblo Esperanza, a new Tropical Americas-themed land, since DinoLand U.S.A. started closing in phases, but now that ALL of DinoLand has closed (Goodbye, DINOSAUR), work on the new land is taking a huge step forward.
The one thing we’re most excited about is the Encanto ride, which will bring the Casita from the film to real life! Inside, there will be a cool ride themed around the movie…and we can hardly wait. In the meantime, though, we keep checking construction at the site of the new land, and construction on the ride is coming right along.
Even more news on Magic Kingdom‘s expansions dropped this week! If you read our update from Valentine’s Day, then you’ll know that the area is already flat and level.
They’ve already started on the foundations of some small structures, but we have some new permit approvals that reveal more about upcoming changes. Here’s what we know!
Something new is coming to Universal Orlando! Luke Combs’ entertainment venue chain Category 10 will open its third location at Universal CityWalk.
Grammy nominee Luke Combs is known for songs “Hurricane,” “When It Rains It Pours,” “Beautiful Crazy,” and Twister‘s “Ain’t No Love in Oklahoma.” Even if you don’t know country music, you’ve heard his cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car,” which reached No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 rankings after he performed with her at the 2024 Grammys.
While construction is rampant across Walt Disney World in 2026 — with major projects at both the Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios — arguably no Disney World park is being affected more than Animal Kingdom.
With DINOSAUR –– and all of DinoLand U.S.A. — shuttered for good, and Tropical Americas (including its Indiana Jones and Encanto attractions) still some time away, Disney World’s youngest theme park is in a state of transition right now, and guests are changing their visiting habits accordingly.
March in Disney World is shaping up to look a little different than usual.
If you’ve got a spring trip on the books, there are a few big ride closures you’ll want on your radar. Two major attractions at Magic Kingdom are still in the middle of lengthy refurbishment projects, and one iconic Hollywood Studios coaster is officially taking its final bow. Before you finalize those park plans, here’s what you need to know.
If you’re a Gideon’s Bakehouse fan, then you’re going to love this. The owner of Gideon’s Bakehouse is opening a new restaurant at Disney Springs!
Six Ravens is a fast-casual concept that will specialize in savory hand pies. It will open sometime in 2026, but we have an update that means work is happening, and we’re crossing our fingers that it means we’ll be getting new, savory treats sooner rather than later.
Well, this is NOT the news anyone wanted to hear today, but here we are.
Both Disneyland AND Disney World are full of construction right now, all to create new experiences and attractions for guests, but as it’s all happening at the SAME time, things are getting rough. Now, Disneyland Resort has just added TWO more refurbishments to their list…both starting on the same day.
In case you missed it, Disney is currently developing its first-ever Villains Land! It will be located in the Magic Kingdom, and fans absolutely lost their minds when it was first announced at D23 in 2024.
