If you’re planning a 2021 trip to Disney World right now, you might be running into a few bumps that you weren’t expecting!
Trip planning is stranger than ever because of limited capacity in parks and all the reopenings going on around Disney World! Hotels and restaurants alike are reopening through the summer and later in the year. Oh yeah, and there’s that little 50th Anniversary thing going on in October (and all the crowds and craziness it will bring) to look forward to. 😉 Here’s what you need to know about the BIGGEST problems you’ll run into when planning a 2021 Disney World trip.
We can’t even fathom everything that’s happened since last year — 2020 was a crazy year to say the least! Disney World closed and reopened. And we watched as health and safety guidelines went from being prominent at the parks to being phased out.

One of our FAVORITE resort lobbies…Jambo House at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
What a year, right? And there are STILL things at Disney World that haven’t reopened yet, including restaurants AND hotels. But that’s changing, too. Many of our favorite snack spots have reopened, along with many of our favorite restaurants, and we now have official reopening dates for the rest of Disney World’s hotels!
Change is something that has become synonymous with Disney World over the years and more particularly since the pandemic. The changes with FastPasses+, parades, and extra magic hours had some people wondering if a trip to Disney World during this time was worth it.
Earlier this year Disney announced that “Early Theme Park Entry” would be replacing Extra Magic Hours at Disney World on October 1st. If you are unfamiliar with Extra Magic Hours, they were first implemented to allow guests staying at a Disney Hotel to either gain early access or stay later in the theme parks. “Early Theme Park Entry” allows guests to enter any of the parks 30 minutes early to get a head start on their day in the parks. Since the announcement of Early Theme Park Entry we have all been wondering which Disney Hotels this new benefit would be given at. Well, today, Disney released the ENTIRE LIST of participating hotels. [Read more…]
We’re checking around the parks and hotels in Disney World to find out what’s under construction and what’s coming back soon!
Here’s a complete list of attractions and hotels that are scheduled to be closed for construction next week in Disney World!
Another week has passed and this past week Disney released quite a lot of BIG news!
Planning to visit the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and wondering what items will be available? Been waiting for news about Disney’s Port Orleans Resort reopening? Hoping for news about Halloween activities at Disneyland? This week we got updates about all of that and MORE, and now we’re breaking it all down for you!
Did you know that all of the Disney World Resort hotels will have reopened by the end of this year?

Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter
Yep, with favorites like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge reopening soon, there were only a few hotels that still didn’t have reopening dates — until yesterday, that is! Disney announced the reopening dates for Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — Riverside, Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort.
There have been a LOT of reopenings in Disney World recently.

All-Star Music
Disney’s BoardWalk Inn Resort just reopened as did the beloved Casey’s Corner restaurant in Magic Kingdom. We’re looking forward to more reopenings like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, and now we’ve got MORE resort reopening news!
We’re not going to lie — we are OBSESSED with Minnie Ears ’round these parts.

So many ears…
And Disney knows we’re not the only ones — because why else would they release SO MANY? And ears come in so many different varieties that it’s easy to find a pair to represent everything we love about Disney! But did you know you could also match your ears to your Disney World resort?
Slowly but surely, as Disney World tiptoes back to normalcy, mandates are being tweaked and removed throughout the resorts and the parks.
Things are also happening at Disney pools! We just noticed a BIG change that will make your next swim feel pretty different!
