food IS a theme park
Welcome back, DFB friends! We’re checking in to see what’s new at Disney’s Old Key West Resort!
We’ve got plenty of food, merchandise, construction, and entertainment updates to share with you. So, let’s dive right on in!
Last month, we learned about a MAJOR update coming to select Disney World Table Service Restaurants. We then noticed that the My Disney Experience app had added Mobile Order to one of our favorite table service spots, Sanaa at Animal Kingdom Lodge!
Since then, we’ve noticed two more restaurants pop up with the Mobile Order Table Service To Go feature: Kona Cafe at Disney’s Polynesian Resort and The Wave…of American Flavors at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. But now it looks like another restaurant will be getting the feature soon, too!
Can you ever have too many Halloween snacks at Disney World? Survey says…no way!
We’ve tried LOTS of pumpkin spice treats, adorable Halloween cupcakes, spooktacular cotton candy, and more! Now, we’ve spotted another Halloween cupcake in Disney World, and we just had to give it a try to see how it stacks up against all the rest!
Halloweentime is in full swing in Disney World and we’ve got MORE treats to try!
We’ve already had a BUNCH of delicious fall and Halloween delights like the Pumpkin Whoopie Pie, the Not So Poison Apple Cupcake, and the Pumpkin Cheesecake Cannoli. Now, we’re trying another Halloween eat — and this one is for the cookie fanatics!
We’ve had all kinds of spooky snacks in the parks in Disney World!
But, Halloween treats are making their way over to the Disney Resort hotels as well. Today, we found some seasonal drink offerings over at Disney’s Old Key West Resort, and you know we HAD to taste one of them!
Did you hear the news? Just last week, Mobile Order in Disney World expanded to include a Table Service restaurant for the first time, and today we’re learning a few more details on this updated feature.
But first, a bit of background: Mobile Order made its Disney World debut in May 2017. Launched within the My Disney Experience app, the feature allows guests to pre-order and pre-pay for their food at participating Counter Service restaurants, thereby saving time which would otherwise be spent in line. This recent expansion, though, introduced Mobile Order to a Table Service restaurant for the first time with To Go service from Sanaa in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. [Read more…]
A new feature suddenly (or, since this is Disney we’re talking about, perhaps we should say magically) appeared on the My Disney Experience app for Walt Disney World guests recently: Mobile Dine Walk-up Waitlist!
This feature allows guests to find out with a tap on their phone which Table Service restaurants have available seating for walk-up guests. (You can see how it works here.) And the list of restaurants in Walt Disney World that offer this new feature just keeps growing… and growing! [Read more…]
The list of options for walk-up dining in Disney World just keeps GROWING!
Recently, Disney World launched the brand-new Mobile Dine Walk-up Waitlist feature in the My Disney Experience app. This feature allows guests to join a waitlist from their phones at select Disney World restaurants — and more spots keep showing up on this list every day!
We’ve been exploring the Disney World theme parks A LOT now that all four have reopened!
And while we all know park hopping is temporarily unavailable during the initial phase of Disney World’s reopening, we also know a lot of you folks back home are curious if guests can resort hop at Disney World right now. And we’re not gonna lie — it’s a little confusing right now.
Select Walt Disney World hotels began reopening to guests on June 22nd, ahead of the Resort’s theme parks which officially began reopening to guests in July, with Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom reopening on July 11th followed by EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios reopening on July 15th.
Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel still have Disney’s Magical Express available as a complimentary transportation option to and from the Orlando International Airport even during this initial reopening phase. However, a modification has been made to the service that we thought future guests will certainly want to know. [Read more…]
