From the most iconic snacks to those hidden gems, we’re constantly on the hunt for our next favorite meal. Now, one of our favorite spots in Animal Kingdom has changed, and we’re putting the new menu items to the test to see if they’re worth your time and money!
You’ve been having the time of your life at Disney World, but then you start to feel your tummy rumble, and you know you don’t have much time before it turns hangry. And your tummy doesn’t want just anything. No. It wants a yummy snack for less than $10.

Sure, Disney food can get on the expensive side, but there is SO much food that is available at a more reasonable price. That’s why I am sharing my 12 favorite Disney World snacks that will cost you less than $10.
It looks like 2025 is going to be a busy year in Disney World — y’all, it’s only January, and so much is already going on.

Now, we’ve already told you ALL about the EPCOT Festival of the Arts (and you can read all our food booth reviews here), but we’ve also seen the phased closure of Dinoland, U.S.A. begin in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to make way for a new land, Pueblo Esperanza. There’s a ton of construction happening at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom, too. SO MUCH. But that’s not all. Disney World has been updating its restaurant menus, so we need to get you caught up on the menu changes that happened this week.

Okay, so it is like a HUGE week for food in Disney World because the EPCOT Festival of the Arts has officially kicked off. We were there on DAY ONE to check out everything the festival has to offer, including all the food booths (we ate so much, y’all have no idea). But there’s more happening in the Disney World food world, too, because we’ve also got some restaurant menu changes to get you updated on.
It’s no secret among Disney snack fans that the Orlando theme parks aren’t exactly known for their top-quality churros. Need we remind you of the Worms ‘n Dirt Churro?

Disneyland, on the other hand, is very much known for its iconic churros. Disney World churros often fall extremely flat and can never seem to achieve that same level of deliciousness. But every time Disney World comes out with a new churro, we ask ourselves if it’ll live up to our West Coast expectations, even though we expect to be disappointed. This time, we headed over to Animal Kingdom to try the new holiday churro and…well…we had such high hopes.
Happy holidays, DFB friends! Yep, it’s officially the holiday season in Disney World and we’re ready to eat all the holiday snacks and go to the first Jollywood Nights and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party.
Eats in Animal Kingdom
It’s been quite a week in Disney World. We just got word that NEW gingerbread displays are coming to Disney World this holiday season (we can’t wait!). We got details on a fun Diwali fest that’s coming to Disney Springs. Holiday decorations have officially appeared in Magic Kingdom (cue Mariah Carey). However, we’ve also seen some Disney World restaurant menus change, and that’s what we want to tell you about.
It’s been…a week in Disney World. We’ve spent a lot of it tracking Hurricane Helene and staying updated on closures and cancellations at the resort.
Pumpkin ice cream is back.
We did, however, celebrate the reopening of a Starbucks and the return of pumpkin ice cream (even if it left us a little disappointed). We also got the full list of snacks and drinks coming to this year’s Jollywood Nights (and it is a LOT). As always, we also kept a close eye on Disney World restaurant menus, and we’ve got some menu updates to share with you this week.
If you know us, you know we’ll forever sing the praises of the food at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which is SEVERELY underrated.
Animal Kingdom
First, you know we’re going to talk ALL DAY LONG about Cheeseburger Pods and how everyone needs to know just how good Nomad Lounge is. But we’re also going to send you to Flame Tree BBQ for the Pulled Pork Fries (even if the onion rings have been replaced with fried onions). However, we’re also BIG fans of the Baked Mac and Cheese at Eight Spoon Cafe, but Disney just literally upgraded that Mac and Cheese and made it better.
Okay, we’re sorry to have to break the news, but we come to you with lots of Disney World changes this week.
Experiment 626 Cone
We know everyone is still REELING over the HUGE Genie+ changes, not to mention those food changes at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Magic Kingdom (oh, Fruit and Nutella Waffle Sandwich, we will MISS you so much). That, along with last week’s big missing hushpuppies news is enough to leave our brains fried, but we’ve still got MORE changes to tell you about, this time on menus at Disney World restaurants.
We consider ourselves experts in all things edible at Disney World, but we’re especially knowledgeable about mac and cheese. We’ve given ourselves the honorable task of finding the BEST mac and cheese, and in pursuit of this goal, we’ve found some seriously tasty dishes. Now, there’s a NEW option available, so of course we had to try it out ASAP.

This new mac and cheese is SO new, in fact, that it’s not even on the online menu yet. But since we’re in the Disney World parks every day (looking for new updates and tasty treats), we spotted it right away. Let’s find out how it compares to our other favorite snacks! [Read more…]
