Did you know that you can eat in SPACE in Disney World? (And no, we’re not talking about the Star Wars Galactic Starcruiser hotel). We’re referring to Space 220 in EPCOT, which is located in the World Discovery section of this park! At this restaurant, you’ll board an elevator and head “220 miles above the Earth” to eat your meal in space.
We’ve already eaten just about everything on the menu here for lunch, dinner, and the lounge, but now Disney has added some brand NEW items! Prix fixe menus, or multi-course meals at a singular fixed price, have become more commonplace around Disney World. More recently, menus at new restaurants like Space 220 are totally centered around the prix fixe experience (EPCOT’s other new restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris, has a prix fixe option on their menu as well). Some long-standing restaurants have shifted to a prix fixe model as well, including Be Our Guest Restaurant, Cinderella’s Royal Table, and the new three-course menu at California Grill for the 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Is this just a slick new way for Disney World to get guests to pay more for more food than they’ll actually eat while disguising it as a bargain?

Not only have restaurants continued to reopen, but we’ve seen a Mary Poppins-themed makeover at Citricos, some new menu items at the fan-favorite ‘Ohana and the return of some classics, and the reopening of different character dining experiences. Now, a very popular Disney World restaurant is getting a MAJOR menu change!
Space 220 is an outer space-themed dining experience coming soon to EPCOT where guests will board an elevator that simulates traveling 220 miles above the Earth to dine at the Centauri Space Station.
