March was a BIG month of news for Disney World and lots of news can sometimes make for surprises!
From dining changes to health measure updates and more, let’s take a look at the four most unexpected things that happened in Disney World in March!
Roll out the red carpet, because we’re about to attend a (food) premiere in Disney’s Hollywood Studios!
If there’s new food to be explored in Disney World, you KNOW we’ll be there to check it out! So when we heard that Backlot Express in Disney’s Hollywood Studios was set to roll out a new menu, we marked our calendars for its debut. Join us as we dive into all of the latest additions this quick service spot has to offer!
Disney’s Animal Kingdom can get a bad rap when it comes to food. Everyone tends to give all the glory to Cheeseburger Pods (which we can’t deny are delicious) and forget about the other awesome places to eat — you just have to know WHERE to look!

Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery is a hidden GEM!
One of the hidden gems is Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery, which is located in the Africa section of the park near Kilimanjaro Safaris. We love hitting up this spot for a morning coffee without a long line and some sweet treats, but they also serve up a few savory items too!
Wine Bar George is a restaurant in Disney Springs that is consistently one of our FAVORITE spots in Disney World. While this place has some amazing wine, you shouldn’t sleep on their delicious cocktails and food.
Speaking of cocktails, we have an important update for anyone looking to try something new at Wine Bar George!
T minus 7 days until the 2022 International Festival of the Arts officially kicks off in EPCOT!
This festival puts artistic creations from the visual, performance, and culinary disciplines on display. And we’re especially excited about the culinary arts today, since we now have all of the menus for this year’s festival! A lot of great returning dishes are on those menus, but we’re seeing quite a few new items as well. Here’s a complete list of all the NEW food and drinks you can find at this year’s festival. Are you planning an upcoming trip to Disney World?
Whether you’re new to visiting The Most Magical Place on Earth or you’ve stopped by a couple dozen times, you probably realize that there’s a lot that goes into planning your trip. There’s a lot of information to take in, but it’s completely possible to become an “expert” before you even get to the parks. You might even be able to surprise your family with your knowledge! (Maybe make them think you’re psychic?! 😉)
The Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery is located in the Africa section of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, near the Kilimanjaro Safaris ride.
The bakery (which was closed until recently) used to serve breakfast pastries and sweet treats, but we heard a while ago that it would have a whole new menu when it reopened. Today, we’re stopping by to try all the new items and find out if this snack spot is a must-visit!
Bright suns! We’re back at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge for some new eats!
Earlier today, we learned that Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo unveiled new menu items, so we hopped over to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to try them out for ourselves!
Earlier today, we shared that the characters are coming BACK to breakfast at Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort!
This spot originally reopened without characters and with a family-style meal instead of the typical buffet-style meal that used to be served here.
It looks like another one of our favorite Disney World restaurants is fixin’ to reopen SOON!
Despite remaining closed after EPCOT’s reopening last month, Teppan Edo began tinkering with its menu a few weeks ago. This gave us the impression the table service hibachi grill restaurant located in the Japan pavilion might be getting ready to reopen!
